Heartstopper's never left me. Since the first time I picked up the comics in 2021, when I was still in highschool. Since I was first starting to question my sexuality and who I was as a human being apart from mental illness. It's always been a safe space, somewhere where I could feel seen and happy.

Thanks to Heartstopper I was able to meet some of my favorite people ever, online friends who encouraged me to start using social media without being ashamed of myself.

Despite how much time it's happened, I will always cherish the memories being part of this fandom has lend me. I won't forget the times I got to interact with Alice on this app. Purchasing the comics for the first time. Being part of my first ever fan project. So many lessons about community, diversity and resilience.

When I read the last update today, April 11th 2026, everything slowed down. It's the perfect ending but I couldn't stop myself from crying my eyes out. There's so much of me, of everyone, inside Heartstopper. So much that at times I would have wanted to leave beahind but now it's an inspiration to keep going.
