Sister's Night In [Ukraine + Belarus]
When there was that faint knock at the door, Katya froze like an animal at the sound of a snapping twig. She was all at once excited and nervous at the thought that her sister was actually at her door step. Smoothing down her shirt and fixing her pockets in her pants, she calmly walks to open the door. " ‘Alo! Please, come in. It is very cold out and I have the fire place going." She steps aside and tries not to invade Natalia’s space with her need to pull the younger girl into a fierce hug.
Natalia gave her sister a curt nod and a very faint smile, stepping into the warm house. She removed her scarf and very cautiously hugged her sister, since she could tell that she wanted to do. "siastra, it has been quite a while. I hope you've been doing well." She takes off her coat and hangs it on a coatrack by the door, and leaves her soggy boots on the carpet.

Sister's Night In [Ukraine + Belarus]
Ukraine was busy cleaning up her home. Picking up clothes here, washing dishes there. Between dusting off her shelves and fussing over the pillows on the couch, she was busy in the kitchen. Plates of small snacks and pitchers of drinks lined the counters. Of course there was wine and vodka, but she didn’t plan to bring that out until later. Everything had to be perfect for when her sister showed up.
There might have been a reason she invited Belarus over on that particular night. Things she might have forgotten to tell her dear sister. Thankfully her Ottoman house mate was out which made the time she spent with Natalia much more relaxed. Katya just hoped that things would go over smoothly and maybe they wouldn’t even have to talk about his presence much.
Natalia sighed as she walked to her sister's house. It was chilly, and she adjusted her scarf so that she could not see the white of her breath. Quite frankly, she didn't know why her sister had invited her over. While she knew that she was attempting to be better at making friends, it was odd to Belarus how the first person she decided she would improve her relationship with was her. Not that she was complaining.
A few lonely minutes passed (as walks are always long and lonely when you have only your thoughts to accompany you) until she had made her way to the Ukrainian woman's house. As she walked up to the front door, she took a chilly hand out of her coat pocket and, taking in a breath, knocked. She knew she should not have been nervous; this was her sister after all, but simple, social events had always been a bit of a hassle for her. Which is why she didn't ever host her own and preferred not to attend them. But this was her sister, and she figured that she might as well go, since it would only be the two of them.
Aaaaah I'm done with my exams, now I just have to hope that I passed them both. I'm not so confident about the one I took on Wednesday, but the one I took today was pretty easy.]
