The reaction to Jax after the finale has revealed some of y'all's internalized belief in punitive justice and how uncomfortable people can get when presented with the idea that a bad person is still a person.
A bad person doesn't need to suffer in order to 'earn' empathy, someone doesn't need to be punished in order to be more than just one thing, compassion isn't a transactional process.
A story that asks you to see someone's humanity and pain isn't the same as condoning the behavior, there is no punishment quota that needs to be met before someone can be empathized with.
Jax wasn't a good person but that doesn't automatically make her experience as an abuse survivor null and void. She perpetuated that cycle and was awful to those around her, but she was still victim to that cycle, and those two concepts are not mutually exclusive.
Why does Jax need to gain empathy through suffering? Isn't being a a person in pain enough? Do you actually want accountability or want retribution under the mask of accountability?
"this isn't romantic because their relationship is unhealthy and abusive" YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ROMANCE

The Pearl With The Girl Earring by Olaf Falafel
I love that all the idiots left the Frankenstein fandom and the only people left are people who want to see Victor pregnant
I'll tell you what happened, I ran them all out of the fandom myself with pitchforks and torches just like the villagers did to Creature
He just told you what happened. If you don't want victor impregnated by creature you didn't survive the fandom because thats what the canon needs you to see

reading dnis is a great way to learn words that no one has ever used and might not even be real

Oh bunnydoll, I miss you so much
Everyone you despise has someone who loves them.
Everyone you think is unlovable to their core has someone who cares about them.
Everyone you think is undeserving of love has someone who can't live without them.
And I hope it eats your bitter little soul knowing it.
βHis hand grasped at the nearby rocky wall, and tightly gripped the handle of an umbrella in the other. His mind shouted in need of stability. All of it was frightening, this maddening emotion, the womanβ¦β
Illustration 6/? for @stmartyr's Pathological Obsession and this was actually the first piece I finished for this project. I kind of feel like you can tell this was the first by looking at it, still very proud of it, but I think Iβve since become more comfortable and confident in drawing people and poses.
I had a lot of fun with the frame on this one, found a really cool vintage illustration of the muscles and tendons of a hand and forearm and turned them into these intertwining ribbony strings.Β

personally i do not prefer when stories engaging with complicated topics attempt to make themselves good educational resources on said complicated topics
and i understand that sometimes it's a very thin line between giving a realistic depiction of a serious topic and ending up in after-school special mode, but i also notice that no one is doing this when a character gets the flu (which kills many people every year) and PERSONALLY i don't love the patterns i'm vaguely sensing about which experiences can be depicted normally and which experiences must always be a learning opportunity
