hi everyone!! i am so excited to get back into rping & this seems like just the right group to start again!! i will be working on writing a biography, but here is just some facts about codi. let me know if you have any plots in mind or just want to dm me to say hi!!
dakota is the twin of jude ellis. they came from well-off divorced parents. she never needed to do much and if it was up to her mother that’s exactly what she would do. she wanted her perfect socialite daughter to marry off into a rich, boring family just like hers. but codi was never like that. she was always the creative sort. messy and all over the place. as a child she would play in the dirt and mess around with the boys instead of playing tea party or house with the other nice little girls.
when she was old enough she left home with her brother to venture off on her own. she thought about going to school and tried if for a semester, but ended up finding the structure of a public education too much. now she is a freelancer writer for a small local newspaper giving advice to sad, middle aged women in love-less marriages. it’s not her dream, but she is happy for now.
her interests include plants, painting, and writing. she has been working on a novel for two and a half years, never letting anyone read the entire thing. it has been finished for about a month now, but she’s too scared to try and publish her work.
overall she’s lighthearted and always up for an adventure. she’s quirky and a tad awkward at time. she tries to be a friend to all, but sometimes her big mouth gets her into trouble.

maybe some OUTDOOR time would do stella good . spending her days in an empty condo drinking herself to death and pretending to be interested in the music she was making was definitely not going to do it for her . very much hungover , stella groaned before stuffing her face into her mat after codi’s suggestion . “ no , i feel like a snail . ” she groans before lifting her head up . “ isn’t yoga for people who already have their shit together ? i am not one of those people . i’m still in my iced coffee and bad decisions phase of life . ”
“ oh come ! you on the best thing to cure a hangover is activity. ” codi removed herself from the pose and sat cross legged on the mat. “ well i find that yoga can be really refreshing and stress reducing. which i’m sure you can agree something we could both benefit from. “ codi took a sip of her water bottle. “plus having your shit together is something you can’t really control. the bad decisions on the other hand that is something that you could change if you really wanted to.”

maggie had never had a fight this big with her parents before, it was over something so little yet they were now barely speaking and she was so upset, annoyed and frustrated at her parents because this fight shouldn’t even be happening, so maggie was going to give them someone for them to be mad at her for. she hated fighting with her parents but this fight was petty on her parents behalf. maggie found herself sitting in the spa with some candles lit and a cigarette between his lips. this wasn’t the usual for her but she didn’t care at this point. “do you want one?” she asked looking at the other.
“i’ll take a hit sure.” codi had been so busy lately, but she always had time to spend with maggie. the two of them were good friends and when she needed someone in her corner codi was always there to help. she had taken a personal day off work so that she could discuss with maggie how she was doing. “this spa is very relaxing, much better than wine nights at home.” she stated before taking the cigarette from between her friend’s fingers and placing it to her lips. she was a better friend with mary jane, but she would occasionally have a stress reducing stick every once in awhile. “i feel a baby in a bubble bath.”
codi had somehow convinced stella to do some outdoor yoga with her. she wouldn’t have too much longer in the year to do so, seeing as fall was just around the corner. she loved the cold but yoga was not necessarily the best thing to be doing when the temperature drops below fifty. “okay so this is is child’s pose that we’re in right now. so we’re going to push our hands onto the mat and use that power to move your legs up into downward facing dog.” she could hear some struggling coming from her friend. although she couldn’t see her. “you doing okay stel?” @stcllvs

“Do you need help with that?” It didn’t matter if Codi was TJ’s new girlfriend or if the other woman probably hated her guts for the way Everly had hurt him, if someone needed help, she would always offer. She pushed her cart back to the front of the store before hurrying over to where Codi was appearing to struggle with a large box and offered her assistance. Living in Charleston could be uncomfortable at times because it was hard to avoid anyone for too long, but she didn’t feel like she should have to. It had been a few years since she and TJ broke up and as much as she hated how it happened, she was happy for him now. It was nice to see that at least one of them ended up in a stable relationship. “You looked like you were gonna drop it and I would hate for that to happen to me after I just bought something expensive.” She cleared her throat and wiped her hands on her jeans. “Okay, well um, I’ll just go now.”
“oh yeah sure, that would be great actually.” codi said as a few of her less fragile items fell out of her arms. she didn’t realize who the woman was at first, but now that she was getting a good look she realized that it was tj’s ex girlfriend. something she hadn’t really thought about when her and tj became official. “guess i just thought i could handle carrying them all myself instead of pushing the cart to my car, but i guess that was my first mistake.” she laughed lightly as the two of them walked back to her car. it was an awkward silence between the two of them. she wasn’t sure if the other girl hated her for being the new girl or if she was supposed to be hating her for being the first girl. codi had never quite been the type for confrontation or even being rude in general. maybe it was better if she was the bigger person and started conversation. “um, wait, evie right? how... how are you liking charleston?”

maggie put her stuff down in codi’s room before quickly going to get a glass of water while still listening to codi speak. “yeah that is very true. but i don’t normally dress like this, so im glad it works” she said with a small smile. “yeah, we knew eachother back in new york and its been ages since we have hung out really so its nice to catch up.” maggie said with a smile. “so what are your plans for tonight. how are things with you and tj?”
“yeah i jude and i used to dress like this all the time i’m not going to lie. only i feel like it was a little more toned down seeing as we were both fourteen.” codi laughed thinking of the memories she had with her twin in their younger years. their parents had hated that the two of them were so in sync with each other and had common interests. codi was supposed to be more put together and proper, so when her and jude did things together it tended to cause some conflict. “that will be nice though. nothing is better than seeing an old friend.” codi plopped herself down on her bed, “tj and I are in a good place right now. he didn’t really vibe with emo night or whatever so we’re just gonna hang out later. probably watch a movie.”

maggie smiled at codi. she was always so sweet and she loved the friendship they had. “thank you. i wasn’t totally sure about it” she said as she headed into codi’s room. “okay cool thank you, i think im gonna have some water for now. keep my hydrated before i start drinking” she said with a small laugh. “oh don’t worry about making snacks. i know where they are like you said” maggie said smiling. “just wanna have some fun. i mean you can if you want to. but i think i wanna spend some time with nick. i have barely seen him since he arrived in town” maggie said smiling at the other. nick and maggie were just friends but it was nice having a friend from new york in town too.
“i think the goal with being ‘emo’ or goth is putting enough into your look where you look good but not to the point where it looks like you care too much. it has to be that effortless ‘i threw this together because i don’t care about anything’ look.” codi explained, not that she was any sort of expert on the matter but her and jude were really into all of this stuff when they were younger. “oh yeah nick, i haven’t heard too much about him honestly. he seems a little boring yo me, but what do I know? i’m not friends with him. as long as you’re having fun that is all that matters!”
