As promised, this is my final history project, a criticism of Ninjago!!!! Including your favorite terms, orientalism, the white savior trope, white saviorism, and tokenism!

I worked really hard on this website but here is my perspective, as an Asian-American on the problems with Ninjago and the real life impact it has. So anyway, if you disagree with any of the following statements, please go get educated!:

- Ninjago is racist

- Ninjago disrespects east asian cultures

- Ninjago denies opportunity to POC while profiting on a commodification of their culture

- Ninjago’s portrayal of asia is incredibly harmful

I’ve had the privilege of being part of the Ninja Never Quit zine run by @speedythecat and I’m so glad I was able to work on a collab with so many other artists and writers

I think Tick Tock was the episode where I really got into Ninjago (and Zane became my favorite. Sorry guys, robots are cool) the show has helped me meet so many other amazing fans and inspired me to make so amazing things.

My friend and her kids are in serious danger from her neighbours who are white supremacists. She moves mid January but she isn’t safe in the meantime staying where she is. We need to get her out of there asap.

Is there anyone able to pick her up/cover the cost of transportation for her, and/or house them for the next while, or cover the cost of a motel/hotel room for her?
