oh god, you see right through me! well, since we’re calling me out, i think it’s only fair to call out my other hush-hush dirty sinners who are privy to my garbage soul. those who understand me and love me for the trash human that i am.

       a flash of panic. if you know. if you know. you know what she’s doing, don’t you? you know why sayori’s gone. you know what’s going to happen to yuri if you don’t stop her. you know what’s going to happen to—

       gone. “stop who? no one’s breaking anything. except maybe yuri, with that gloomy attitude, but… i don’t think she can help it, you know?” 

                                                       you need to stop her. i can’t. you know you can. I CAN’T.

       “unless… did she do something else? do you know about something?” 

                             do you know everything i know? if you know everything i know, why don’t you stop her? I’M SCARED.

        why doesn’t she have classes? she supposes she does— she could tell you about the things she’s done in her classes, about the things she’s learning— but she doesn’t seem to remember actually going to those classes. she knows the answer, of course, but it seems such a dull answer. it’s too forward, really ( you’re not supposed to know yet ) and so she furrows her eyebrows, drops her hands to her hips, and lets her head tip to the side.         “what are you talking about, dummy? of course i have classes. math, science— just like you. i just don’t like talking about those because they’re boring and they suck. the club is fun.”

       “i don’t— have class?” what the HELL is that supposed to mean? are they serious? she’s classy! of course she’s classy! she’s a lady, and she sits properly, and she doesn’t slouch, and she knows when to act prim and proper and boring, she just doesn’t think they’re worth it. who are they anyway, huh? she doesn’t want to… impress them. 

        no, she doesn’t want that at all. so, of course, her knee-jerk reaction is to try and tear them down to make herself feel better— if she’s the one who feels right, if she’s the one who feels important, if she’s the one who comes out on top at the end of an argument, then she wins, right?

        oh, now she’s mad! her reaction comes in multiple parts that fuse together in a way that seems almost seamless, as if they were meant to be one. she jumps, eyes wide and jaw clenched, then she grosses her arms over her chest, fingers twitching, and finally she turns her face away, chin high and eyes shut. “you’re so stupid! the short, cute ones are the ones you have to look out for.”        but that doesn’t make her feel better, not really. because she’s short because she’s unwell, because she’s short and her dad gives her hell for it, because she’s short, especially, for someone in her shoes. she doesn’t mind being short until someone uses it as a reason to demean her. that’s when it bothers her, when she no longer feels cute but annoying and wrong, and when she snaps because she’s insecure.
