How Do I Make Money Online?
Almost every day on Facebook or any number of other channels, we get basically the same question from any number of different people.
The question goes something like this:
âCan someone please help me get started making money online?â
There are a number of variations, but when you read them you can see the deer standing there, blinded by headlights. Itâs not hard to relate to the frustration or even sense of helplessness the questioner might be feeling either -- we all started somewhere and we all suffered our own frustrations.
Often these questions are short and vague and difficult to address effectively. Moderators and admins will usually delete such questions simply because theyâve been asked a million times before and responded to. Moderators will often politely point out where those answers can be found. Moderators accept this as a matter of course, much like a Walmart employee expects to be asked where the bathrooms are at least a few times a day.
The question
On Coach.io I spotted this question asked very effectively and answered very effectively, Â thus making it well worth sharing. Itâs not a magic answer because there is no magic answer. If youâre struggling right now, read Seanâs answer and give it some real thought before you reject it. Understanding it might be the difference between you reaching your goals or not.
âBased on the courses I own and worked through in the last years I should have been a millionaire - easily. I'm not.
What are the real success-habits?
How to develop, maintain and incorporate them?
How do I make "it" work on a daily basis?
How do I stop distractions, following new "stuff" and shiny objects?
... "Just do it!" - please âŚâ - Roland V.
The answer
Itâs an honest question. Itâs a specific question and itâs a damn good question. Thankfully, it got a good answer from Coach Sean Mize:
âThis is a question that so many marketers struggle with. In fact, I'd say most of my clients are just like you - they know all the right answers, but focus and implementation are the problems.
First, you probably don't need anymore courses right now. You know what to do - and I believe you know that the next step is to "just do it!"
Stop the courses, and stop the distractions. Close Facebook, close your email, close Youtube, close the latest marketing guru's sales page and promises.
Do you have a niche picked out? Are you adding content to your website on a daily basis? If not, start there. Pick a niche, or get 12 books on your niche and start becoming an expert if you're not there yet. Then publish fresh, insightful content daily.
Create a squeeze page to start getting folks onto a list, and write good content to them every day. Ask them what their biggest problems are in the niche.
Record a product based on their questions - 30-60 minutes every day for a few days. Then write a letter for that product, using their own problems to help create the bullets.
Sell that product.
Repeat this - create content, build trust and relationship with that daily email, and create products based on your clients' needs.
You probably already have courses that outline how to do all of those things - you know how to do them. So now commit to really doing it daily. You'll get a feel for what works and what doesn't to optimize over time, but right now, just establish those daily habits. Take action!â
A tall think of wisdom
Thank you Sean Mize for summing it up so well! You have to work hard of course but, you also have to be willing to learn hard. Yes, find yourself a coach on Coach.io and get that extra motivation and insight, but the dedication and motivation will have to come from you!
