The blonde didnāt know why she was at the festival. It wasnāt really like her to socialize or even have time to. She was focused on school and her job, leading her to decide that leaving the house wasnāt for her. Yet, she went to the festival. Getting a fresh squeezed lemonade, Mae wandered around the booths, gently touching the items, tilting her head in thought. It was tempting to buy items for her and Jasmineās apartment, but the other part of her needed to save. Her job didnāt make much money and the money she did make went to bills and things for school.Ā
Moving from the booths, she heard a band play, a smile forming as she walked towards it. Hearing other people sing their own songs was amazing to her. She always loved to see how people expressed themselves through an art. Mae still dances from time to time. It lets her express what she feels and what is going on in her brain. Eyes stayed on the band until she felt a random person nudging her, looking to the side. It wasnāt until then, the blonde saw a familiar face. The face of the man who broke her heart. Her heart jumped into her stomach as she wanted to run away and leave. Yet, she was still there just staring at him, almost as if she wanted to talk to him, but what was there to say? Would she have even been able to have a conversation with him? It was a mystery, but it was slightly a mystery she wanted to figure out. @cntrnolanā
nolan separated from his teammates to find a beer tent. what he didnāt expect was how quickly the crowd had grown around the stage, but spring fest always brought out record crowds to battery park. we weaved through the mass of people ā stopping a few times when girls noticed him and asked for pictures ( maybe even pocketing a number or two ) when he noticed a blonde swaying to duo on stage.Ā
something about her ā even though he couldnāt see her face ā felt familiar. he decided to try and make herās number three for the day. he took a quick swig of his beer and moved around people until he was next to her. the music was too loud this close to the stage to speak to her, so he nudged her slightly ā ready to deliver the tried a true pick up line.Ā
then he saw her ā a face heād only seen in drunken dreams for the last three years. he was awestruck at how put together she looked ( her features even more entrancing after all these years ) and as if on cue, the music subsided to give way for the next act. nolanās mind replayed their last moments together as he just took her inĀ ā the hurt and anger, his apathy and hidden shame ā but he spoke up anyway.Ā ā mae ā wow ā i ā āĀ
the petite blonde always had a way at making him fumble his words ā and maybe that mixed with the bad breakup was making it even harder to form a proper sentence.Ā ā timeās been good to you āĀ āĀ
