“i guess i shouldn’t complain much. it’s not like it’s killing me.”

“rachel.”

“of course it does, it’s me --- i always make sense.”

“lucky. i still have an entire year. it sucks.”

“well lucky for you, i know the answer. you know how toddlers learn who people are by names? like... daisy. she knows i’m her sister so she calls me sissy. but if someone asks her who rachel is, she’ll say ‘sissy’. it’s by name association. dogs have that.”

“are you a senior?”

@rachelpacini: the other three buttheads wouldn’t let me get pictures of them, but since it’s national siblings day i figured i’d let them all know how much i love them (even when they’re being butt faces). mikey, brian, kat, brandi & daisy, you’re my world and i love you more than anything even though i yell at you all on a daily basis to stop leaving your backpacks in the walkway or to stop leaving legos in the floor because i keep stepping on them. i couldn’t ask for a better bunch of brats.

“i guess she’s not for everyone, but some of her stuff is pretty catchy. my little sister goes nuts for ‘all about that bass’.”

“i hate it when animals get hurt, so i don’t let anybody in my house to do anything. i used to do that too --- with any animal. i used to find kittens and beg my parents to let me keep them, but we usually ended up getting them back to health and then taking them somewhere they would be adopted.”

“sorry to burst your bubble, but uh... i wasn’t kidding. he’s really that long. but no --- i didn’t bring him to school. i only did that once and i had to go on a bear hunt to find him. but don’t worry --- i’m not a vindictive bitch to people that haven’t done anything to me. i know how bad fears are, i wouldn’t torture you with him. he’s a sweetheart, though.”

“nope. i’ve lived in la my entire life. i mean, i lived in englewood until i was eight and moved to this part.”

“my mom. it’s always my mom. he’s about a foot long from leg to leg.”

"i keep eric in his terrarium when she comes over, i do everything i can to avoid a panic attack. the snake's actually a lot less maintenance than any of the others. they eat like, once a month. he's really just a big baby. he's the sweetest snake i've ever known," she said. rachel nodded with a small laugh. "i guess so. we've had the bird since i was really little. if my mom and dad weren't so scared of snappers, i'd definitely try to convince them to let me have an alligator, but they think it'll eat the baby, so," she said with a shrug. "i dunno, maybe. it'd be pretty hilarious."

“i’d kick my mom’s ass. sure, there are ways to prevent them, but a lot of stuff can hurt them, and a bug’s intentions aren’t to hurt anybody, they’re to protect themselves if they feel like they’re in danger. my mom’s just... insanely scared of bugs.”

“probably. my mom does the same thing. i don’t let her kill the bugs, i make her call for me so i can put them outside.”

“it was my mom. she hates creepy crawlies. i was hoping it would be one of the kids, but mom’s reaction is always priceless.”
