Filming the new Pacific in China was incredible. They held a traditional Chinese Launch Ceremony for us, it helps ensure a successful filming. Does anyone else find it weird that if you cut open a grapefruit, it looks like our lady parts? I was reading this article on buzzfeed that basically says that you can’t say ‘sexist’ without ‘sex’. It’s so true. Besides the fact that if you’re going to fling your dick my way, cover the fuck up – why do most of them get to decide on every detail? We’re not sex toys.

Exactly. My mom has this witch’s brew stuff that I swear by. It works for literally everything, sorta like Buckley’s medicinal syrup, but it’s homemade. It always gives me heartburn and makes me throw up sometimes, but I always feel better afterwards.

She does. And I didn’t mean to shade her at all, it’s just my mouth runs faster than my filter. It’s unavoidable sometimes. Like the Hairspray Live cast did a preview of You Can’t Stop The Beat on Thanksgiving, and it’ was lip syncing. I was pissed about it. Thanksgiving performers always lip sync. I love participating in the parade, but I hate lip syncing. I wholeheartedly believe in live singing when it comes to awards and regular performances, but there are some things you almost have to lip sync for and it’s usually because of weather conditions. You’re so cold your voice shakes when you talk so you’d sound terrible if you sang live. Those I can understand. But lip syncing for an interview or performance, that’s just... not admirable. Or impressive. Maybe I’m just being a diva about it.

I remember it too, and I remember being confused but I tend not to pay attention to gossip. I didn’t hear about Mariah Carey, though! What happened with that?

It’s not even embarrassing anymore, it’s just annoying. Oh, man. It was in an interview, and I forgot some of my lyrics during a performance so they asked me about it and I said “at least you know I don’t lip sync and my whistle tones are legit” and it blew up all over the internet.
