Hello! I don't know if anyone on this site from back in the days of the Parks fandom still follows me or if it's just bots at this point, but I wanted to give an update of my life just because I miss this platform and the sense of community I had here.
I am an entirely different person than I was two years ago and yet more myself than I ever have been. In the last two years I have:
1) Gotten divorced from a man I was with for nearly 15 years
2) Come out publicly as a lesbian and moved in with my girlfriend
3) Chopped off all my hair, dumped my entire wardrobe, and started dressing exclusively out of the men's section, becoming the butch lesbian I always wanted to be
4) Started navigating the terrifying waters of gender identity, which is still ongoing and definitely not something I've discussed publicly
So, although life never stops happening and things are crazy all the time, I've been able to find true happiness and a lot of inner peace that I never thought was possible in my lifetime.
One thing that was really important to me in my journey of coming out was reading how many other people out there were in my exact situation. Women in their 30's leaving their husbands was more common than I thought. That gave me courage and hope, and knowledge that there was another side to come out on. So I think it's important for me to share my story as well, for anyone out there who needs to read it, to know they won't be the only ones in the entire world, to know that you can blow your entire life up to start living for you. No one is ever alone.
I want to help support anyone who may go through the same things, so always feel free to reach out for any reason. I still lurk around this site relatively often. ✌️
