Ryder rubbed one eye while looking confused at his Pup-Pad video call, which now showed only the early morning sky. He didn't even have time to say anything! All he heard before the phone was apparently dropped to the ground was Cap'n Turbot asking for help in a very desperate tone, something about a meteor and metamorphosis...? Then, the noise of something falling in the water and nothing more.
Blinking what was left of his sleep away, the teen went to check the pier through the Lookout's periscope. The Flounder wasn't there, which meant the Cap'n had spent the night at home, in Seal Island. Turning his attention over there, it was too far to see anything clearly, but he could notice a couple small sources of light on the sand. Probably the Turbot's phone, reflecting the sunlight, and something else. No sign of the Cap'n, though...
"If you can hear me, don't worry, Cap'n Turbot! No captain is too missing, no pup is too small!"
Ryder pulled the side of his Pup-Pad and pressed the button to summon his pups. "PAW Patrol, to the Lookout!"
In a minute, all six pups were awake, leaving their pup-houses and rushing to the elevator. After the obligatory wipeout by Marshall, this time after tripping on his own water bowl, they suited up and soon were on the top floor, lining up in front of their leader.
"Paw Patrol, ready for action, Ryder, Sir!" Chase announced, as usual.
"Thanks for coming, pups!"
Ryder didn't waste time to explain what little he knew about the current situation. Cap'n Turbot just called for help, sounded strange as if something really bad happened, then dropped his phone and didn't answer anymore. The pups reflected his confusion and worry for their good friend just the same.
For this mission, Ryder picked Zuma and Marshall, the later with his EMT gear, in case something would've happened to their friend. Since his ambulance couldn't ride above water, the Dalmatian would go with Ryder on his ATV. Soon, the three of them were riding their respective vehicles, on their way to Seal Island!
