I know that the scarped wedding toppers of Joka and Ghadius on top of Crona ( posted on the development log ) gotta be a heeheehaha from the development team but;

I would like to know exactly why Joka ( or Ghadius ) would even do/ have that in the first place, so here’s what I think ;

A last lil hooray ! A big little wedding before everyone and everything DIES. Ghadius only agreed because he knew they won’t last together if they plan to summon Nahatom ( and maybe due to personal reasons in behalf of Ghadius )

Joka thinking that getting the moon pendent then preposing ( and also confessing if he hadn’t done that ) to Ghadius would be a WONDERFUL AND SMART IDEA !!! ( didn’t end well )

Ghadius lost his mind while imprisoned and was just agreeing with everything till he felt the sunshine again after all theses years ( he forgot to say no )

Garlen is LOW ON MONEY and he discovers the growing popularity of IDOLS so he advertises a new upcoming CUTE CATBOY IDOL and when everyone is waiting for the reveal and IT TURNS OUT TO BE JOKA and everyone started to riot before Joka FEEL FACE FIRST INTO THE PAVEMENT MID-SONG prompting EVERYONE to demand ANOTHER CONCERT from him

If we ever gonna get a new Klonoa spin-off game with no NEW villains; I 100% believe that they’ll use Garlen and Joka as a fill in. And as much as I love the 2… they’re quite the nothing burger which results to them being very flexible and easy to put as villains for another spin-off or 2.

Think about it; They're the only two villains who’ve ever been NOT given some sort of origin/ backstory that could restrain them from being just added to the game. ( example being Janga and his relation to Guntz and vice versa ( if you don’t count dream champ ))

Though, Joka has a higher chance then Garlen due to him only being a supporting character for the Villains ..

It would be cool to see garlen's back story and how he became the way he is. And how he convince janga to join him and joka.

Joka back story gotta be something like he used to be something more powerful then he was before? Maybe a dark spirit? Or maybe a like some kinda chaos spirit that was defeat it from the old heroes. maybe was changed into something like a moo jester from? As his full power been taken away.

(Just coming up with random ideas lol sorry for nerding out xD)

that’s what I was thinking! A mostly “ Why is Garlen so obsessed with the idea of SPECIFICALLY * taking over a mechanical world ? “ Is it easier to control ? Is it easier to tweak and fix as he sees pleased ?

And on the Joka note ; I’ve been thinking all day about his fire and illusion magic and how in the end both powers come from light or made by light. How his magic is brighter ( the colourful shapes and his sprinkling teleportation magic ) it could just be a design choice to contrast the other Klonoa villains, but my brain can’t stop thinking about how he could be SOME sort of product made by the light spirit ( accidentally , purposely, or unknowingly! )

or that he was just a “ Bad dream “ that Phantomile spat out into existence, making him the most clearly odd one out :o0..
