Formerly known as Daily doodle I went to see "The Scarlet flower" at the local arthouse theater. Its a 1970's soviet take on beauty and the beast. In it they had a proper that looked to be a fake flower and an electric tealight in the middle.
I thought it was perfect for oil pastels and had to paint it!
Daily doodle 5/23/26I've had trouble sleeping lately. The routine switch from school to no school has my hypervigilence irritated. I keep waking up every 30-60 min. It should relax with time. In the meanwhile I drew this guy. I always liked the look of night caps.

A couple of cards I made for seniors. Usually I send them to seniors in the community but I think I might send one to my grandma as a thank you card. She recently visited and gave me a Japanese woodcut piece of art. It's gorgeous and I'm gonna hang it above my art desk

Daily doodle 5/22/26
My internet and phone was down almost the entire day. So grateful I have a dvd collection and plenty of offline hobbies. The main hindrance was that I couldn't search up any reference photos for my drawings. Luckily, I'm an amateur photographer so I had a few in my own stash to go off of. The reference for this picture is a shot I took from the bathroom in room that I did my sleep study in. The view was gorgeous.

Today I used an illustration I partially finished because Im wiped after doing an ada transport assessment. Good news is I qualify! So I will be able to do many more things now.For this cartoon I was really stuck between a painterly style and a more graphic one. In the end I opted for a graphic style because I feel it fits Keisha's design better. This is my second time drawing her and I'm starting to get a feel for her personality. She will be one of my characters for artfight. I look forward to having time to dedicate to it now that school is on break.#art #digitalart #arttok #cartoonart #speedpaint
Daily Doodle 5/21/26
Today I decided to draw Frodo while listening to the Lord of the Rings audiobook. I was surprised at how long the preamble to the book was. I'm also not sure I buy that the book isn't an allegory to anything. But, I suppose I'll read and see.
I decided to listen and draw as a way to relax after going to the dentist. I had another appointment to get my partial dentures done. Slowly things are coming together. I'm considering drawing more characters as they are introduced. I think it could be a fun way to interact with the book.

I had 2 final critiques today. Both were pretty rough. I also had my honor's critiqued. The teacher decided last second that I was to do a presentation which is what inspired this Doodle. I did my best to express how flustered I felt and I had some fun with textures.

Diary entry 5/11/26
Today I woke up and finished carving my linocuts for the honors project. Then I printed them. They are drying now and I will paint them tomorrow. I also painted half of my final assignment.
Unfortunately during all this I had a dissociative episode of pacing until my muscles became sore. But I don't think I tore anything this time.
Since I had the episode I couldn't go on a walk so I sat in my back yard with the dogs and read "Dear America: I walk in Dread". Which is today's doodle!
Diary entry 5/10/26
Today is a really hard day for me. I haven't talked to my mom in about 5 years. I hate being reminded of her.
To get through the day I cozied up in my art studio with my animals. I worked on a crochet table cloth and lit a new pomegranate appletini which inspired today's illustration.
I'm gonna try to aim to do a few diary entry illustrations a week.
I'm watching Game of Wool and was inspired by one of the judges to sketch this
