My partner is understanding and respectful of my preferences. He has been amazingly supportive and has never crossed any of the boundaries I set. I'm very lucky to have him.

While I am a virgin, my asexuality is my preference and not necessarily a description of my actions. Asexuality is a sexual preference, not a description of sexual activity. In short, asexuality does not equal celibate. When I am married to my partner, I will very likely have sex with them. Asexuality, to me, means that I don't have the desire or drive to go after sexual activity (I do not feel intense sexual attraction in a general sense), but for my partner, I will perform when I feel I want to. I prefer to not deal with it, but in a loving relationship, I am gently eased into safe sexual activities with my partner when I feel I want to do so.
