Switching it up W a mcsm ask because. I have the hint that we like that a lot rn
Gimmie some more on dad Ivor, hcs/ideas/scenes etc- if you need a specific question tho; what really sold him as a father figure? (Either first signs or the biggest) 💚
You and ur stupid knowings of my fixations. /aff /silly
DADVOR MY BELOVED.
Well there's just a general vibe he has when he interacts with the new order, especially the portal gang?? Like its very present in S1 and S2 but one of the things that sold it for me would be this exchange between him and Petra when we see him for the first time in S2 (if you let the dialogue play out instead of speaking:
"it's so good to see you!!" "This is insane!" "Ohh, you know you missed me :)" "Nope. Really did not." "Not even a little bit..? I see a smillleeee!" "Nope. I'm not smiling." "Not even a teeny smile? :3" "No." "Teeny tiny microscopic iota of a smile??" (Sigh) "…Fine. 😒" "KNEW IT!"
His interactions with Jesse and Lukas too; when Lukas gets framed as the White Pumpkin and the others decide he should be locked up (opposed to Cassie's idea of letting the zombies eat him,,,), they lock Lukas in a closet 'with a lovely iron door', as Stampy puts it. When this happens, Ivor offers to look over Lukas while Jesse and Petra go off to prove their friend's innocence.
With Jesse, it's a lot of mixture of scenes convincing me of Dad Ivor, I honestly can't pick and choose here, but one example that comes to mind is when Jesse expresses their concern about Lukas and Petra in s1ep7, Ivor tells them how he believes they are a good friend.
Also like. Have you SEEN what this man wears beneath that robe of his. If that is not a dad outfit I don't know what is.
Guys I think I'm in trouble now /silly
I don't think my husband is happy w me :3 /silly
idk how to explain but this feels like. idk Bill Cipher-esque (he followed this up by saying he'll put my teeth in an apple)
Among us show characters as tma fears!!!! Yipee!!!!!
Red - the web (control, possession)
Orange - the stranger (uncanny valley/almost human)
Yellow - the vast (heights, lost in open space)
Lime - the spiral (madness)
Green - the corruption (mold, infection, germs), the buried (suffocation, dirt, bugs)
Cyan - the lonely (isolation)
Blue - desolation (senseless pain)
purple - the eye (being watched/observed)
Brown - the lonely (isolation)
Black - the hunt (being prey/chased)
White - tied between the vast and slaughter because of the insignificance in both of them (life is so big, you're so small // you're nothing but meat)
Pink/Mira - the end (end of all life)
The imposters as a concept really fall into a lot of these (stranger, spiral, flesh, hunt, slaughter, desolation.. etc etc etc) so I don't think I'd be able to pin point just one fear for them !
Tried my best not to double up here, feel free to ask for any clarification!!!
Thx to my husband Cloud-ii for helping me with this, go give her some love <33
adding some quotes from the conversation we had ab this cause theyre insanely funny
"You're like all the fears you anxious mess"
"You're the hybrid princess of tma fears"
"Oh I hate you fuck"
"Is this you projecting"
"There's no fear of being poor so white is a fun one"
(all from my beloved with the message you see on this reblog <3)
I'm collecting scraps for these asks now but I'm determined to be evil still (feel free to answer both questions btw)
Do you have a least fav among us character?
If not, who do you think would do the least damage in a fight with an imposter?
EVIL.
Okay I wanna say that I don't thinkkk I have a least favourite??? If I had to say ANYONE, maybe White, although I still enjoy them,,, they're only someone I'd consider my 'least favourite' due to a lack of character development (also the capitalism,,,) but I still adore them and believe they could have had some really good development had they not been killed off so early.
In the case of 'least damage done to an imposter', it's hard to say who would have done the least damage. I believe Brown and Yellow could have actually done some of the most (they're the chefs, they know where all the salt is), I guess the least would probably be??? idk?? I mean Green IS the imposter but in a case where they aren't, they'd probably be the least prepared?? Not entirely sure.

Which among us death hurt you the most? :D
This is probably obvious from my other posts, but I'd have to say either Lime or Brown.
In Lime's case, they took initiative and confronted the imposter(s) (counting Green bc Lime approached them w the weapon first). Not only were they viewed as the culprit by the cast, but Red, who KNEW Lime was right, still dismissed them due to not wanting to seem 'incompetent' as a captain. Not only that, but they never stood a chance anyways. Had someone else died? Lime probably would have been voted out for presumably being a murderer. Even within their weapon, it lacked the imposters weakness: salt. They were doomed regardless.
For Brown, it was...their bestfriend died, and they felt it was both the crew's and their own fault, and after eating the salted pizza that they had always refused prior to Yellow's ejection, the imposter appears and they just...accept it. They don't use a weapon, they don't look scared, they don't scream, they don't run...they just...accept it.
Other than that, this only was thought about after my rewatch but Green's death (although offscreen) hurts me. they grew up in a fairly poor area, their family and village used all their resources to support them in their dreams and to send them to space as an intern so they could achieve said dream...and they die on their first day. not only that, but MIRA probably is gonna cover this up and could very well just frame it as a murder/sabotage from a normal civilian. it hurts, man.
I wish we got to see more of Lukas's arrogant side tbh. Like ofc he's amazing as this loyal, stand up author guy, but omg I wanted to see more of him lowkey being a prick <3
Some moments where Lukas is slightly douchey (or more so just arrogant) for no particular reason for those who are interested in his character development and/or need something to refer back to (me):
There's a few interactions when you talk to Lukas for the first time after Aiden picks on Jesse n their friends and Petra comes by ("If you're cool with Petra, you're cool with us.")
Most of these responses have the same vibe to them:
"We’re going to crush you." "I don’t know if you know this, but... we’re pretty good... oh. Wait. I get it. It’s like a joke, right?" "No, I'm serious. We're going to destroy you." "Ha! Y'know, you're really funny. That's awesome. Hey, good luck."
or even:
"May the best team win." "Careful what you wish for."
And even when we directly tell Lukas that Aiden needs to learn to be nicer, he does dismiss it with things that people often say when someone calls out bullying. ("He's just trying to get in your head...")
Even when you (optionally) talk to him later, if you lost and choose to say, "we would have beat you", you get the following interaction:
"We both know that if Aiden hadn't done what he did, my team would've won." "Uh, what we ACTUALLY both know is that my team had the stronger design ..."
He will admit what happened isn't something he supports or endorses, but he does enjoy bragging rights and seems to view this all as a playful rivalry rather than a hostile one(?)
One interaction I always found particularly interesting, though...
"You know, that stunt your friend pulled really hurt my pig." "Okay, maybe, but I had nothing to do with that."
Technically, yes, Lukas is correct in his statement here. Lukas didn't have anything to do with Aiden getting jealous and setting Reuben on fire. But that statement, combined with the dismissiveness of Aiden's behaviour? it feels somewhat. defensive? especially because Jesse never says it was Lukas' fault; meaning it's very much Lukas trying to justify the situation and tell himself "It's not my problem.", even if it's rather obvious to others that he is complicit.
also honourable mention when you go back to Ivor's hideout to get Lukas and when he asks Jesse for any ideas on what to do and you don't say anything:
"I guess I could get used to living in a chest. At least I'd probably starve to death before getting tired of the view."
Also even as a kid there was one exchange Axel and Lukas have in the nether that always entertained me:
"Your throat's going to be sore later, Axel." "Why?" "I'm just saying, I mean... wasn't that you doing all that screaming before? Sounded like you were really shredding your larynx."
there's probably almost definitely more, but these are the ones a could think of (all found in ep1)
Also if Lukas leaves the hut/treehouse, there's a comment from Axel stating:
"Add up all the times he was a jerk to us, and this doesn't compare."
Obviously we don't actually know if this is the case, especially with how volatile Axel can get when it comes to those he feels threatens his friends' safety; we don't exactly get too much of an idea how Lukas was pre-s1, but it could very well be the truth. Jusstt smth to think ab. I don't remember the original point of this post so I'm going to bed now.
This!! We don't see too much of his arrogant side so it makes sense the fandom kinda forgets about it, but it'd be nice if we'd gotten a more in depth look to the history of Jesse's team and the ocelots, cuz it would've backed up Axel's part in the hut/tree house argument a lot more too.
Yes!!! A big issue with Axel that people have is his hostile nature towards Lukas; if we had been shown more of Lukas' arrogance/rudeness, it would have made the situation from Axel's perspective more understandable. Of course there's the general consensus that Axel went too far in this specific scene, but had we been shown Lukas' past behaviour towards the treehouse gang, maybe more people would have sympathised with him.
I wish we got to see more of Lukas's arrogant side tbh. Like ofc he's amazing as this loyal, stand up author guy, but omg I wanted to see more of him lowkey being a prick <3

Returning the favour u sewer rat /silly /lhj.
Favourite Among Us character(s) and or ships. say them NOW!!!!!! (I know ur gonna say Lime but thats ok elaborate on it <3)
Sigh ok I'm being insulted now thank you my wonderful and darling husband
Uh yeah lime is definitely an all timer. Idk if there's a real reason besides that I like my men green apparently. Their voice work is phenomenal like the rest of the cast but the second you showed me lime I was in too deep. In terms of them and blue, I like the dynamic of "TRUST NOBODY" and everyone loves me and I'm probably really insecure but I'm gonna hope you warm upto me cuz I love you
(I also saw someone on tiktok use FP and Finn's "what's wrong with me huh, you don't like me?" "I LIKE YOU!?" "........WHATS WRONG WITH YOU???" Argument and that kinda sold it for me)
Uhhhh also like green, honestly one of my new favourite villains if I'm honest. The foreshadowing, how on a rewatch literally everything makes so much fucking sense. Again, voice work particularly in ep10 (THE STUPID LITTLE GIGGLE) genuinely made me cry it was delightful. Rewatched ep1 today and the fact their dreams of being a captain is forced so heavily just. Hgjfjfu couldn't keep watching or I was gonna bawl my eyes out because what do you meannnn what about the people at home who gave everything for them to get on the skeld JUST FOR THEM TO DIE DUE TO MIRA BEING ASSHOLES and they don't even get the privilege of burying green because we don't know where the body is!! Same with orange and yellow!!
Also any still wakes the deep fans notice how similar the imposter is to the monsters in that game?? I love fleshy amalgamations that used to be human so bad it's not funny
I like yellow a lot even outside of their relationship with brown, ep1 really stated hard that this was a lot of anti-capitalism/evil billionaire companies and I like yellows stance on unpaid interns etc but also the qpr between those two is just gsjsgisgdiyd I love it so bad they make me so upset
Also adore red!! They obviously have their flaws and I'm glad they aren't being put into the Babygirl stereotype yet. I like how in ep1 when they're tryna talk to purps, they OBVIOUSLY care about them still but just. Word everything so badly. Like yeah this job that I. Got you. And that's not even them trying to be threatening because we SEE THEM threaten purple ("yk I could just kick down this door rn,") they just genuinely wanna do good!!
And their interactions with greeeeennnjhhh red has such a bad problem with putting themselves above everyone because they're the captain and as they say themselves, that job is all that they are. It's the only defining trait they have after the reactor shit with purps and I just fufyfuufyfg I love selfish/self-absorbed characters so bad (Dutch, pb at times, red, etc) they're the most interesting and I'll die on that hill
Uhhhhhh in terms of shipping I don't. Care that much...ngl.. I like basically every ship but nothing stands out to me, yk?? I like the potential crush green could've had on red, and I don't mind having something between white n green. Blime I think could've been so good if they had more time together, the angst potential is there and I'm upset about it. Black and cyan too, "maybe I was too jaded" was a very relatable sentiment and blacks character arc as a whole has given me a bit of an eye opener?? They definitely weren't my favourite but their development works really well together and I love that they completed eachother in the end. Red n purps are an obvious one, like you said in your rant I adore the fact Red's actions are given weight and it wasn't just "yeah ok we cool again" like purps still needs time to cope and red still has a lot of growth to do and I LOVE THAT it's so refreshing to see enemies to lovers given the time they need to change and grow and learn and I just sgusgieheihsojsof. So glad red being an asshole wasn't excused because they made a few right choices it's just. Uggegejgwigsidgidvdvisuvsbiskzvsgviivs. I love them.
ah the things insulting and bothering my husband can do <3
Favourite among us ep?
Sorry I have to make these a little different or I'll go insane bye love you 👋
Don't apologise; i'll still call you evil but I am bored and have absolutely nothing to do w my life (#unemployment)
mmm either episode 1, 'A Pizza Party Where Nothing Bad Happens', (because its the only time we get to see Orange and Green's proper PROPER personalities before they get replaced n they're my babies :( ) OR episode 7, '6 Angry Crewmates' because its actually very hard for a piece of media to make me cry and they somEHOW DID IT. Yellow and Brown my babies I miss them sm. not only that but we get insight into their relationship just as Cyan and Black's relationship collapses, and it also sets up for Purple's realisation when Green can't recall their story of history between Red and themself.
Honourable mention to ep 5 Orange was really really funny there before they died but everyone already knows that (and upon rewatch I just KNOW Green was tweaking)
2nd Honourable mention to episode 10 but SPECIFICALLY the ending credit song and the moment between Red and Purple after discarding the Ore+. It was so sweet and I LOVED how Purple still acknowledged that all this shit they've gone through doesn't restore what's happened between the two of them

Petra and Lukas actually make me sick. You can choose literally everyone else over Petra and she will still follow you to the ends of the earth. You can treat Lukas like complete shit and he'll still come crawling back to you.
THIS. They actually make me so ill like Lukas and Petra BOTH have varyingly different forms of attachment/trust issues (for different reasons) yet they're so similar like this despite their differences in personality and approach towards their relationships. it's sickening.
you know your life's reached a point when all you can possibly think about doing is write an Among Us AU/Fanfiction
Another evil among us question
Favourite character(s) and why? This also includes any ships relating to them
EVIL. BACK FOUL BEAST!!
That's such a hard question dude,,, esp because in terms of "favourite characters", it's always changing. Of course Purple, Brown, White and Orange already had automatic bias because of mcsm VAs, but if you asked me when I first finished the show?? I'd say Purple or Brown. If you asked me after rewatch? might've said Blue or Green. asked me a few days ago? Might've said Lime or Cyan. Yesterday? Red or Orange. So this is a very complex question. Might add onto this later with tier list or analysis when I feel more motivated to do so.
Edit cause I missed the shipping part of the question:
But having said that, when it comes to ships my favourite are...pretty standard. Blime (Blue x Lime), Cookingmates (Brown and Yellow my favourite qpr (they're what made me cry on my first watch)), Cameracap (Purple x Red), although i will admit alot of Green ship entice me,,,but alot of the way people treat their shipping pisses me off so bad (IM LOOKING AT YOU PAIDINTERN. I LIKE THE SHIP BUT THE WAY ITS USUALLY TREATED ANNOYS ME DEEPLY.)
See I'm also just one of those people who can see the vision behind almost every ship so idk. The characters themselves are more important anyways so eh.
(P.S: I ENJOY THESE QUESTIONS PLEASE SEND ME MORE ASKS I'VE BEEN BORED DURING THE DAY)
I really like the fandom interpretation of White as being a clueless nepobaby rather than a snooty rich asshole.
Their first line in the show is "Just like everyone else [...]", uttered right before bringing up their yacht and sommelier and high paying job handed down by mommy and daddy. They've been so completely sheltered that they've probably never interacted with the lower class directly, to the point where poverty is a vague, distant concept and they just assume the majority of people are like their """friends""" ("cops, influencers, children of politicians..."). Hell even when Yellow vents about corporate practices and Green asks "What's a capitalist?", White gleefully answers "Oh, that's me!" like they've never heard the term used in a negative context. They don't look down on poorer/not-rich people ; they barely even know those exist.
But then they board the Skeld.
Had they not been the first to die, I think it would have been really interesting to see how the events could/would have influenced them. Spending more time around Green, who comes from a worm farm and is the first in their village to pursue higher education ; talking with Yellow and Brown, the anticapitalist union leaders- and then when the imposter(s) start killing crewmates, getting hit with the realization that all their money and networking and business ties mean absolutely nothing.
They can't buy their way out- the murderous shapeshifting aliens don't care about money.
Their parents and associates aren't coming to help.
Even MIRA won't do a thing- as rich as White is, MIRA is richer. They'll cover up the incident in no time.
Basically I need this fucker to have a meltdown and existential crisis.
Guys I've (accidentally) convinced my husband to watch the among us show mostly by showing it Lime this is great

Evilly returning the favour and asking questions about your interests so you have to rant about them;
Besides their voice actors, do the among us show characters have any similarities to mcsm characters?
I see you. evil. Do not make me Stick u.
I'm gonna go in order of characters I can talk the least -> most about; probably gonna be an order of Jesse/White, Gill/Brown, Harper/Orange, Petra/Purple
Jesse/White (voiced by Patton Oswalt)
These two probably have the least in common?? A lot of people don't. seem to like White that much?? but they're chill; they come off as arrogant and self-centered I suppose, but to me they feel more like "the rich privileged kid who doesn't realise they're privileged". this much is obvious from their first appearance along with Green, White's explanation for how they ended up on the ship that very day being: "...Then, while ... on my yacht, my sommelier ... presented me the cork, and on the underside was, you guessed it, a winning ride on this very ship! So, pretty much the same kind of thing that happens to everyone."
White is privileged and kind of an asshole (i.e driving the ship when Green is about to, even though they're already aware of Green's life-long dream to be a Captain), but the truth is that White genuinely doesn't realise it either. They're not doing it to be an asshole - they're doing it because they want to and don't realise that it actually matters how others feel about it in the long run. Also y'know. They die. first episode in. Jesse could never (although I guess Jesse does die at some point,,,) but they have plot armour and come back; White doesn't.
Meanwhile, although of course there's many different interpretations on Jesse as due to you making their choices, you essentially get to build their own image yourself. But to me, based on dialogue and actions even we don't choose-- Jesse is loyal, fairly generous, actually...pretty clumsy at times, and honestly a bit of a dork (even said so by Petra), so...yeah. White and Jesse really don't have that much in common to me.
Gill/Brown (voiced by Phil LaMarr)
I haven't really analysed Gill as a character that much?? Maybe I should have put this before Jesse/White but regardless I'll do my best.
This is actually really interesting because in a way Gill/Brown feel like two sides of the same coin in a way?? Not the same coin but like. very very similar ones.
The reason I say this is because when I think of Gill, what comes to mind is a few things (mostly quotes from him); but namely Aiden pushing him around in ep5 of s1. And the thing is, Gill always complied to that. And that was his undoing.
Brown? Brown refused to follow the system, not daring to follow the crowd and vote, and of course, they were right, pointing out how even those who didn't vote against Yellow still complied and therefore were at fault, but the thing is, if they HAD voted for Red instead of refusing to vote, it would have been a tie, and Yellow wouldn't have died then. (and likely Brown wouldn't have either, as the two weren't often apart, ESPECIALLY not in the kitchen)
Gill's compliance is what got him into trouble. Brown's refusal to comply is what got them in trouble. So, not exactly similarities; a lot of these examples seem more like opposites than anything.
Harper/Orange (voiced by Yvette Nicole Brown)
Now I'm not exactly sure if it's just because of Yvette's phenomenal voice acting but something about their sense of humours both seem really similar. maybe its just the delivery. Moving on:
Obviously this is going to be a lot harder than the previous two now that i think about it, but that is purely due to the fact that Orange was replaced with an imposter about..lemme check...about 9-10 minutes into the first episode, and then onwards is the imposter.
Although, the aliens have shown to take on their hosts personalities/quirks (ex.ep10 Green trying to perfect Whites voice, Orange still trying to be all 'corporate like' even after killing Lime (despite obviously having been caught))
The best way I can put this? something something working with (be it currently (Orange) or formerly (Harper) Big Evil BossTM (MIRA or the other Old Builders)
Although, Orange is a lot more obsessed with the rules and wavers and such than Harper is...they both sure do like their technicalities though.
"The Redstone Heart. Seems like yesterday SOMEONE took off with that and vowed "never to return with it."" "Oh, but I didn't bring it back. Jesse did."
"I'm a geologist, Cyan is a gemologist." "That's not what the paperwork says!"
Petra/Purple (voiced by Ashley Johnson)
I feel like a very fair thing to start this off with is their trust and relationship issues. just gonna put in a quote I sent to my husband while watching the show in fact: "(Purple) is having more relationship issues with someone they've known before the events of the media"
Alot of internal doubt between both characters, especially when it comes to their relationships between both Jesse and Red respectively. They both also, despite their aggression - feel an immense responsibility to keep people safe. In fact, Petra and Purple are probably the most alike of all these pairings, even with their names (if we ignore that Purple's name is actually Violet, at least,,,) also something about them both being kind of newbies while still having their own personal morals by the start of their individual medias and then being unsure what to do with themselves by the end but willing to figure it out WITH their closest friend?? AUGH. Overall I also just really like Ashley Johnson as a VA. I'm very bad at remembering actors names but she is one that I actually do remember the name of when I hear her voice,,,
hi, it's me, the anon from airyanagranda's white x purple post. im glad my propaganda is working 😈 my plan of luring in mcsm fans to watch the among us show is working. (fr im glad you enjoyed the show!!!)
See mcsm is my ABSOLUTE favourite piece of media so it really isn't that hard to reel me into a new piece of media by saying that it can be linked to mcsm at all; also I completely blame you for my lack of sleep for overthinking ab it last night (I'm lying I had fun dw)
I cried a lot specifically because of Yellow and Brown. Ow.
Although it shouldn't be too surprising that I enjoyed it when I consider that I love any sort of murder mystery or death game genres...(AGGGTM book series, One of Us is Lying book series, Danganronpa, Escape the Night, YTTD, and obviously mcsm has the murder mystery ep)
all things aside, I suppose I should thank you; if I hadn't seen airyanagranda's post, I probably wouldn't have gotten around to watching it.
Any mcsm fans who are seeing this post and HAVEN'T watched the among us show, I advise you too!! It's really good I know that sounds doubtful but it really is!!
