I feel like after a hundred years, redacted documents should all be unredacted, right? like people might argue that twenty or fifty years is too soon for sensitive details that might put people at risk, sometimes that’s a stretch, but by the time you get to 75 years that’s no excuse and after a century come on, it’s fine.

I don't think there should be secret military sites operating for a hundred years! and I mean in practice there aren't: even Los Alamos was riddled with Soviet spies immediately; secrecy doesn't protect information from geopolitical enemies but from voters, and the Chinese government probably has a better idea of the true size of the CIA budget and how it is spent than the American people do.
