If this were a normal post I’d start with a cute caption and lots of emojis like these🌤🌲BUT this isn’t a normal post. It’s officially summer and even if you aren’t in the desert it’s HOT! So hot I hope you dare wear tanks and swimsuits and shorts because... duh??? Beyond what should be obvious about not needing permission to wear weather necessary fits, I wanna remind you something today. This here body of mine is real. It’s not more or less real than yours, our friends, our fellow human beans. It’s not perfect or unflawed. I have scars on my shins from learning how to slide in little league and kinda hidden on my nose from that lil facedive into a glass coffee table as a kid. My thighs love each other so much they rub through 99.99% of my fave jeans (RIP to all my bbs I have had to retire over the years 👖) The cellulite is real, my teeth aren’t as nice as they were before I fell in love with coffee and my tummy rolls when I sit down and stand sometimes too. Despite all these things though... who cares? Is really the worst thing you can be in this world untouched and real? This real body has allowed me to go on beautiful hikes, hug my favorite humans extra tight and someday do things I couldn’t even imagine! Taking a second to be grateful for your body- your wonderful, whole, good and real body- is important! Sometimes it’s a battle seeing what this heckled up society has made us think as “less than” or “unworthy” is in fact more than and worthy. Sometimes it’s impossible- but that is ok! I am human and my body is real and so is yours. Take a moment to think to yourself something you appreciate, admire, are THANKFUL for about your body & if you feel comfortable comment below! This whole time off thing has had some ups and downs so far but let me tell you- waking up to this sweet sight every morning is something I am cherishing. Before I know it my days will start early as can be again. My uniform wont be yoga pants and slouchy sweaters but business casual attire- and I'm ok with that. With those changes we get some stability and growth and opportunity. But for now I'm soaking in every special morning I get with my favorite human bean.

Taking this Tuesday afternoon to catch up on all those house things! Thankfully Cody is so amazing with splitting chores around the house and we tend to yum each other's yucks. Laundry is typically his thing (seriously this man is the king at laundry I have never had whiter whites in my life) but we're switching things up a little this week since I'm home for a bit! A strange/fun fact about me is that I LOVE organizing. Whatever the chore is- as long as I can make organizing part of it, I love it. From cleaning out the fridge to tidying up the closet and drawers, I'm in. Do you have a favorite chore? Or maybe even something you do to get through the ones you hate?? Let me know!! ✨

I’ve always found this phrase super interesting. Personally, I love Sundays and their potential for turning over a new leaf in the next week. Life can get hectic and maybe weekends are the breath of relief or the calm of the storm but I really think when we prioritize having that weekend feeling not just Saturday and Sunday it makes things feel easier. I love taking time to create, hit the pool after work, take a relaxing walk- those things I always thought before could only happen on Saturday and Sunday! The week ahead is busy and hectic but it also is full of possibilities for calm and deep breaths- enjoyment and fun ✨

Here is to making the most of this weeks changes! After avery long week of interviews, attempting to tackle post-vacay laundry 😳 and apartment projects 🛠 I’m taking a lil time on this productive Sunday to relax. While I’m not a huge bath person all these summer smells and a chance to catch up on plotting the week out couldn’t be passed up 🛁 I think I might even add on a face mask for some extra pampering 🧖🏻‍♀️ Do you have Sunday self care rituals??
