Hi! First of all, I want to thank you for your blog. I usually start my day by going through your answers, and I really enjoy your takes and insights.
As for people complaining about the number of flashbacks, I'm with you: it's a matter of quality over quantity. Also, much as I love the eighteenth century in general and the book in particular, there isn't actually that much happening in Auvergne, plot-wise, that could be effectively translated into a visual medium, especially given the budget constraints. All the most important points are there, and I am sincerely in awe of how much they managed to show in such a short time (although I would have loved to see Babystat with his first puppies).
As far as I understand, Nicolas's story will be addressed separately in the next episode, so we're not going to miss anything important. That said, I do wish we could see Lestat's version of his theatre performance to counter Armand's account, although I understand that this has already been addressed in "Lelio, Not Harlequin" and that we will probably not get anything beyond that.
Thank you once again! ❤️
You're welcome!! Glad you like!
Yeah, I also would have loved Babystat with the puppies, ngl :)
But we did see the reaction about the dog dying. And... without wanting to spoil, but I love Babystat.
Nicolas has his own flashbacks, yes. And Joseph is phenomenal, so that is definitely something to look forward to.
Hope you will have LOTS of fun enjoying it all!
