One World: Series

This unit has really allowed me to develop both my personal interests and skills. I learnt that I am really passionate about climate change and sustainability and that this is the basis of most of my work.

I was able to really focus on my premier pro skills which where also really helpful during my internship. Although I found it difficult at first, Chrissy was really helpful in showing me how to use it. Having a study buddy really grounded me: she was there to tell me when an idea had gone too far and when explaining elements of my film to her she told me if they made sense or not. After formative reviews she gave me really good feedback which she then helped me work on.

Piers was really good at helping me through questions and queries I have and was always patient with me. He made the unit very clear and was supportive. 

Kristy is a mother and wanted to discuss how she tries to be as Eco and sustainable as possible when it comes to bringing up a child. She wanted to talk about recyclable nappies, shopping from charity shops and how she wants to bring up Georgio as aware as possible about the climate and how he can help. Her film would be representing Extinction Rebellion.

Storm was meant to be one of the people in my fashion film. Representing Extinction Rebellion, in his film he wanted to discuss how its the government who are really at fault as they should have been putting things in place. This is something he feels very passionate about bringing to light. He is also an avid drawer so in his film he wanted to be drawing a piece of art work for Extinction Rebellion. 

Alberto is a fisheries officer and in his film wanted to talk about how there are often Extinction Rebellion protests outside his work and a funny story about how one day the people he works with and himself, joined the protest because they want the same things. He would be representing Extinction Rebellion.

Angela is a breast cancer survivor and wanted to talk about how she realised whilst going through chemo that it was more likely she would die from climate change rather than the cancer, whilst telling me this story she was laughing so for her this is a humorous thing. In her film she would be wearing Vivienne Westwood items.

Elise is a student who wanted to talk about how she shops sustainably and give tips on how she finds the best clothes that arent expensive. She also lives as Eco as possible with reusable cotton wool pads and wanted to show others that the Eco lifestyle isn’t expensive and specifically reach out to people within her age range. She would be creating an outfit using Vivienne Westwood clothing.
