It has only been a year since the game has been released, but it seems like so much longer. But seeing so much creative content inspired by Undertale flood the internet, no wonder it seems like it’s been longer than a year!
I’ve gotten to see some amazing art from people I already follow, find new artists and even watch brand new artists bloom and grow and become confident with their skills. I’ve read touching stories, laughed at ridiculous comics and been in awe at fantastic animations. I’ve gotten to interact with such great people because of this game and be apart of amazing projects!
I created art for @undertale-album-project‘s two fan albums, provided @materiacollective‘s huge collaborative album with art for their Bravery page, I drew my own version of Doctor WD Gaster for the @echogaster project, and just did my best to draw art that I knew would give someone a smile(or break their heart :’D)
So, hey Toby, here’s to you. Here’s to you helping artists, new and old, gain inspiration for creating their own creative content, to the new friendships formed, to the charity money being raised for great causes, to the touching stories that have had people choose to be a better person.
Guess who has two thumbs and apparently 1 month left at the job they had INTENDED to settle in and stay at for a good long while??? Top brass decided they didn't want to have a second location anymore, and my entire factory is being laid off!
So! With that- I'll have LOTS of time for comms while on the hunt for another job- I've even added a new option!

Like I mentioned in the Work-In-Progress post, this may just be a one-off for now. Was using this as sketch warm-ups that morphed into a comic for an AU idea.
Hmmm, lets see, the basic plot for this AU would be:
Arceus contacts Emmet and expresses how sorry they are about his brother being displaced. Arceus can not directly help cause of some celestial-nonsense rules (its why humans gotta do everything lol)
Thus, Emmet has to retrieve Ingo himself.
Arceus gives Emmet clues on where Ingo is, but the clues read more like convoluted riddles. (Arceus thought they were being helpful, but their 'help' nonsense) Emmet struggles with the info, has to go to an archive, and gets leads to different reigons.
In each region he goes to, their private libaraies/archives are restricted to professional acedemics/professors/etc, and also the regions gym leaders and champions.
Emmet chooses 'violence'.
It's faster for Emmet to blaze through the gym challenges than go to school and get a degree. (probably cheaper, too)
He has to defeat each regions gyms/elite 4 to become ranked Champion and gain access to the regions archives.
Kanto, Johto, Galar archives aren't helpful.
He goes to Sinnoh since he got info about Hisui. Finds Ingo is lost in the past.
He goes to find Celibi. That's a bust.
Hears about Ultra Beasts shenanigans and think they could help with time travel? He finds out they got dealt with/banned/locked up. Another bust.
Hears about Time Travel in Paldea. Bust.
News about time-distortions back in Sinnoh start popping up. Travels back there.
Emmet has a brief meet-up with Ingo in a distortion. They don't get to speak, just battle together against wild raging pokemon.
They fall back into sync battling together. Ingo doesn't remember why, but he knows this is /right/.
They are quickly torn apart again as the distortion fades after the battle.
Emmet is more determined than ever to get to Ingo.
So that's the main plot. Emmet becoming a multi regional champion to gain access to restricted archives/libraries for info to find out how to get Ingo back.

Another work-in-progress. This is the panel directly after this piece. I started these as some warm-up sketches, and then it morphed into comic practice. I just kept adding to them with the mini plot I had. At least I've kept from full-on coloring it.
It's 5 pages thus far and will most likely stay as a one-off for the time being.
