🩵 What is the most interesting/unique/cool thing about this character?

i like how different he is to the previous doctors! he's still charming and energetic like other doctors, but he's a lot more openly queer with it and i really like how it makes his interactions with women feel more affectionate and intimate in ways you can't rly do with a straight doctor :)

🩷 What was the greatest influence on this character, and how did it affect their actions?

Xiyi is my DND character at the minute (link to her on my oc blog although its not super up-to-date). she's a 200 year old warlock lady and is absolutely horrible. probablyyy the greatest influence on her was how she left home tbh. she got kicked out at 6 months old #lizardthings (this was not normal. but also she doesnt really know that. what do you mean shes traumatised shes literally fine) and has kind of been moving around since.

she's been all over the world, speaks Most languages and has never been back to her home country :( the reason she has moved around so much is largely Because she's never really settled down for longer than a couple of years, with the exception of a decade or two travelling with a nomadic group... until she and her wife separated. but thats only her number two or three greatest influence. she's fine.

thank u :)) it comes from the chinese word for lizard! it is not technically accurate bc the language of the tritons who named her is inspired by cantonese (i think? my DM follows me they can correct me if im wrong LOL) but i like it bc of how short it is.

omgg she's having such a rough time rn. how would u feel if u left ur wife, and then like a year or so after her sister who u really liked died. and then she waged war on this tyrannical warlord and the place u have considered closest to home is now being ravaged by this war and people are struggling. and also you only find out about this 20 years later and blame it all on yourself. she's lowkey going through an arc where shes like wow... consequences actually are real and happen to people that aren't me. and she's going too far off the deep end and blaming Everything on herself. also she sent a letter to her wife (again, first contact they have had in TWENTY YEARS since she LEFT HER IN THE NIGHT) and she didn't respond :( also her wife killed her bird (it's chill she can get another one so easy.)

As answered before, Jodie is my favourite and I do think she's hot. However, I'd say next on my list would be Lyra - she was my PC in another campaign and I've brought her over to this one. She's a half-orc druid, head of the church of Sehanine and is utterly devoted and head over heals for Sehanine. She's a MILF don't get me wrong, but I don't think that she's the hottest.

Personally, I think that the hottest NPC I have by far is Penny - also an ex-PC, but one I spent much less time with. She's an air genasi warlock, married to her wife (the elven cleric Violet) but by no means are they exclusive ;)

She was much younger when I played her - now she is in old age (Lyra is middle-aged), though her wife is still in her prime (Elves, right?). Picrews SUCK at portraying old people as hot, but trust me, she grows up to be old. Her hair starts to go grey and is like wisps of dark smoke, and her skin gets paler as she ages.

A lot of it is just week-by-week - I have vague plans of adventures and things I'd like to do, but I don't do more in-depth stuff until I'm doing proper session prep for the next week. I have the next couple of adventures planned, and story arcs I'd like to follow :)

For example, I've put things in that will intrigue all of my players - one of them has acquired a demonic artefact called the Eye of Midas which gives her advantage on all saving throws related to money, and has the potential to do more if she can convince it to attune with her. I also have plans for most of their backstories to come back and bite them :)

JODIE.

This is Jodie. She's a dwarven rival pirate captain in my DND campaign, and is very much not a good person.

The captain of my player's ship, Vistra (PC), dated Jodie about a decade ago, when she was 17 and Jodie was a decade older. It was NOT healthy. They broke up around the time that Vistra found a baby Triton at sea, and decided to raise her (becoming Nerea, another PC). Their relationship, in my mind at least, was very complicated. They grew up in the same community, although Jodie left to become a pirate when Vistra was very young, and Jodie was there for Vistra when Vistra decided to leave their community. Ever since they left the community, Vistra has shaved her beard, and since the breakup, Jodie has grown hers back out.

My players have only come across Jodie once. They (rightfully) despise her. I love her because I'm the only one who truly gets her and I find her character sooo compelling. The reason she's like,,, this,, is because she feels so deeply and painfully wronged by everything that hasn't gone her way in life. She resents Vistra and Nerea for her relationship with Vistra falling apart, and she's so angry at the people who raised her because she feels they didn't raise her right, and I think that deep down she knows that she has to hate everything that's gone wrong in her life because if she didn't she would have to accept that maybe, just maybe, not everything is someone else's fault.
