⌠based on: â˝ď¸| where clementine comes out to bad news.
Clementine had made it her own personal mission to go to the shopping center and grab a few clothes for the girls for after school. She were adamant about having 'play clothes' and school clothes, and with the new school year fast approaching, she wanted to get a head start on getting a few cheaper pieces in different sizes so they had some to grow into, and some that they could even wear now if they needed them. She'd placed the bags on her arm and had made her way her car when she spotted a man standing close by. Raising an eyebrow as she approached she exhaled, though, plastered a small smile on her face. "Hi." she greeted, keeping her distance but looking at the other. "You okay? Did you lose something?"
"You didn't care, Clementine. If you had, you would have stayed. You would have made it work." She was angry now, both visibly and in how she spoke. Her voice raised slight before she dropped it back down, not wanting to wake the kids with her yelling. "You left me when I was grieving; you left OUR kids when they were grieving their grandmother. You left me to do everything. Do you know how exhausting that is?" All of this she had been holding in for too long, and now it was spilling out of her mouth. "I didn't get a break. I dealt with all the meltdowns, all the emotions, while you just got to call whenever you felt like it." Corinne turned on her heels; tears were welling up in her eyes. "And you went and did this, while I was overwhelmed and trying to hold everyone." She paused, looking at her wife. "Hold out family together. Sorry doesn't cover it. Sorry is not an acceptable apology." There was a coldness in her voice; her words were maybe harsh, but they needed to be said. She needed to get it out. In a way, she felt lighter getting it out. Corinne had turned on her heels, keys and purse in hand, waiting to see if her wife had anything else to say before she left. Corinne knew it wouldn't be for long; that wasn't fair to their kids. "Pack the kids' overnight bags for tomorrow, please, and drop them off at my dad's." Not that it was where she was going tonight, but she would be tomorrow. "I'm not letting what you did jeopardize my time with them." They came first; they always had. @clementinebeaumont
"You act like I had a choice, Corinne." Clementine countered, though she knew there was no use. Sure, she could've probably fought a little harder to stay, to be with her wife and her in-laws when they needed her the most. But the unfortunate thing about being a business owner to the degree that Clementine's business took off was that sometimes you had to do things even when you didn't want too or when the time wasn't right. Sometimes you just had to learn to go with the flow. Adjust when you could. As she admitted to how hard it had been, Clementine nodded. Not because she were learning this for the first time but because she knew. She knew how hard that time frame had been, and it hurt her to know she'd not made it any easier on anyone by not being around. Yet as Corinne stated that she were only calling whenever she wanted to, Clementine had to refrain herself from correcting her. She'd called every night. Timezone made it harder to talk to the kids sometimes, but, she'd called every day the entire time she'd been gone, as close to clockwork as she'd been able to manage. She watched as her wife made her way around their room, keys and purse in hand. It didn't take a rocket scientist to know that she was leaving; Clementine didn't blame her. She'd expected it; she'd have done the same thing if she'd been in her wife's shoes. It was only when Corinne spoke again that she let her gaze meet the other's, eyes full of her own sadness that the confession had caused such a riff in her marriage. She nodded at the request to pack bags, yet shook her head a moment later. "I'm not sure bringing them to your dad's is a good idea, Corinne." Clementine shook her head again. "It's not fair for them to be uprooted from their home because you want to punish me." she started. "And I'm not going to let you blame me for 'jeopardizing your time'." she countered. "Obviously you can take them wherever you want to, I have no right to stop you, but, you're not going to blame me if you choose to stay away from me and in result not see them." she admitted. Though she paused, shaking her head again. "I'll tell them they're having a sleepover with Mommy at Grandpa's house tomorrow night when they wake up in the morning, but, after that we need to figure something out because I'm not going to have my time with them jeopardized either." Those were the last words spoken before her wife was out the door. @corinnebeaumont
Corinne had disappeared to change while her wife went to make sure the kids were sleeping. She changed out of the dress she was wearing into sweats as she entered the living room, pouring a glass of wine for them both and setting it on the table. She hadn't even sat down yet when her wife's words hit her. She was stunned, too stunned to speak, really. "What?" Was all she was able to get out in her stunned silence. She didn't cry; no, she was angry. She had every right to be with what Clementine confessed to her. "So while I was here taking care of our three children, after my mother died and you just left without a single care." There was a built up harness in her tone that she had been holding in for so long. Too long. Corinne didn't speak again; she turned on her heels, grabbing her phone while looking around for where she had placed her purse. "I don't care if you regret it." Her words were cold, and at this point she didn't care how they came out. She didn't scream; she didn't yell. The last thing she wanted was to wake up the kids. She was holding back tears. "You need to take the kids to their activities tomorrow." Corinne finally had found her purse. "I can't even look at you right now. I don't know who you are, who you have become." @clementinebeaumont
Her wife's words stung, and while justified, it ignited something inside Clementine that she guessed she'd also been holding onto. "You don't get to tell me I didn't care." she began to argue, shaking her head as she looked at Corinne. "I didn't just leave because I didn't want to be here. You know I wouldn't do that." Though, with the confession she'd just given to her wife, she was sure it was easy to argue that Corinne didn't know her anymore. Clementine wasn't even so sure she knew herself anymore. The last few months had been nothing short of exhausting, yet, that was no real excuse for what had happened. "I'm sorry." Clementine spoke, though she knew it wasn't going to make any of it any better. She didn't expect it to. Sorry wasn't going to take away the fact that she'd done it, nor was the fact she regretted it the second it had happened. As her wife spoke that she needed to take the kids to their activities, Clementine nodded. She didn't ask why, she didn't ask where Corinne was going. Not because she didn't care, but because if she still knew her wife as well as she hoped she did, Corinne needed space. "Do what you need." she nodded. At this point Clementine was already convinced her marriage was over; but it didn't stop the years of love that they'd built that Clementine was sure she'd burst into hysterics if she thought about it for too long. "I can handle things here." @corinnebeaumont
Corinne nodded about having to go in quietly to the house. She always did. Not that she was ever out late. Corinne had always been the one who was first to be up, but also the first to go to bed. Ever since she was just the girls' nanny, she liked the quiet of the early morning. "No, no, you can come. Maybe we can have Syd take Hallie and Tilly to go do something fun." She didn't want to exclude her wife from going to the cake tasting; she was just telling her she had booked it. "You can take her to camp if you want. She just asked me since I was planning on going to the bigger craft store to look for stuff for Rosie's party." She stated. "It's fine, you can take her." It's not that she wanted a slower morning; it just wasn't who she was. "I like going to my early spin class, and when have I ever slept in?" She rebutted because that was never really. Maybe when they were on vacation. For a second, it felt as if her wife didn't know her at all, which made her frown. "I guess we can; I'm just tired," which wasn't a lie, but Clementine really wanted to stay up and talk; she would. If anything, she would just be a little more tired in the morning than normal. "Anything important? You never want to just stay up and talk." @clementinebeaumont
When Corinne agreed to letting Clementine come along, she offered her wife a small smile. "I don't want to overstep." she stated. "But I do think it would be fun to join you guys." Truthfully, she was trying her best to be part of as much as she could since she'd returned, throw herself into the new normal they'd made while she were away. There were days it were harder, but, ultimately it was something she'd been aiming to do. "I'll take her." she nodded. "I don't mind. If you need me to go to the craft store too I can, but, I won't steal your thunder. You've always been more crafty than I have." Not that Clementine wasn't, but one thing she'd always been good at is shopping for something specific, especially with a list. "I mean, I didn't say it because you do." she stated. "But -" she paused. "Never mind." she added, turning the ignition off of the car before she opened the door, gaze meeting her wife for a second. "We just haven't talked much about anything outside the kids or work in awhile and I thought maybe it'd be good to do so." Or not. Clementine suddenly wasn't so sure she was ready for this.
What felt like the blink of an eye, they were in the living room, kids in bed and asleep, a glass of wine for each on the table in front of the couch as Clementine turned, eyes fixated on her wife. "I actually wanted to talk to you about something that happened in France." she paused, hands shaking as she let her attention turn to Corinne. "I kissed someone." she stated. "It was only one kiss and I regretted it the second that I did it." The words came out like one sentence, rushed, broken, shaky. @corinnebeaumont

She nodded and focused more on trying to soothe on Beck. She felt so overwhelmed and she wished she could have a moment to calm down. "Thank you." She said to Clementine and moved into the living room as she continued to do anything to calm her son down. At the question about food, she tried thinking if she had, but couldn't remember. "I... I don't know. I had a sip of coffee this morning." But how long ago was that? She felt like Beck was crying for ages. "Feed me, huh?" She gave a quick laugh before she sighed. "Um, sure. I probably should eat." @clementinebeaumont
Clementine didn't overstep. As Lexi left the doorway, Clementine let her do what she needed, taking a moment to move towards the kitchen with the boxes of things she'd brought over. Diapers, wipes, onesies for the baby. Wine, food, and self care products for mom. She'd even through in a couple gift cards to some local places so that in the off chance they didn't want to find themselves in the kitchen, the option to order on someone else's dime were an option. It was only after she'd placed the things on the table - giving the other some alone time for a brief moment - that she returned to were Lexi had moved to. "I placed the things I brought on the table; the few meals that I prepped ahead I slid into the freezer." she nodded. "I did go ahead and get you some of this pasta salad I prepped for the dinner I brought for tonight out." she paused, placing the bowl nearby but keeping her distance. The last thing she wanted was to overwhelm anyone. "I'm more than happy to feed you." she laughed. "I'm not opposed to feeding you bites here and there while you bounce him." she paused. "But, can I just -" she paused, taking a step forward, placing a soft hand on the other's shoulder. "You're doing a great job. Breathe. I know this is hard, but, I promise you you're doing what he needs." @lexiselliot
Remi chewed nervously at her lower lip as the conversation continued. The topic of her ever worsening job situation was one that she was always just a bit embarrassed about. After a childhood of being set up to succeed in life, she'd found a new way to screw it up with every passing year. "It uh - thank you. Just uh, you know. With mom it just...got hard to work, I guess," she explained a bit further, clearing her throat with a nervous cough. She needed the money, but some days waking up and having to try and go focus on mixing up coffees or serving pastries had felt exhausting in a way that she'd needed to step back from. "But, if you ever need like extra help at the store, I can always come fill in. Give you some extra time and stuff with the girls." The distraction of the sand all around them and the growing castle that the girls were eagerly putting together was a welcome one. The kids were already naturals at building the sand castle, though some of the structures were getting trampled on as they played around it all. "Not bad at all. It's like pretty easy to get the hang of. Most important part is building a really cool moat around it. And making sure you get the best shells to decorate with." Her head lifted up to talk to her nieces, pointing out a few pretty shells that were nearby for them to grab so they could stick them all over the sand. "You've never done this before, though? Did they...not have beaches where you grew up?"
"I understand." Clementine nodded. The topic of her mother in law was a sore subject for her; not because she hadn't adored the woman. In fact it was the opposite. She'd loved her as much if not more than she'd loved her own mother. And while she was sure leaving for Paris hadn't exactly shown that, she'd felt every ounce of grief that the rest of the family had felt. She just showed it differently; she left town. Threw herself into work that was inevitable anyways. "I'm serious though. If you ever need an extra shift or two, just come by. I'll figure out a way to help you out." she nodded. And she meant it; she'd do it for anybody. At Remington's counteroffer, Clementine felt her smile grow. "That sounds like a great plan as well, I may take you up on that." she nodded, looking at the other with a widened smile, her attention only returning to the sandcastle once she heard the squeal from one of the girls. She watched as the girls effortlessly did so, her smile spreading to her eyes as her heart filled with joy. One of the things she loved the most about being a parent was watching the way her kids explored life, it made Clementine excited for the years they'd yet to experience. "We did." she nodded. "But, in my house growing up, beaches were for sunbathing with a fruity drink or walking at sunset. Water play and building sandcastles were not something we did a lot." Or ever. @remingtonelliot
"We can, yeah." Corinne said, going back to her phone, as their eldest texted that she was going to bed. Corinne texted her back to say they loved her for Clementine while she was driving. "Hallie is just now going to bed. I told her she needs to be up early tomorrow for her first day of theater camp." They were both being more open with the girls staying up later while it was summer. "I think it would be better that way. That way, she gets what she wants without us guessing. I can start asking her more after Rosie's party." The party was approaching faster than she liked, even when she had been planning months ahead. "I think I am going to take Ro this weekend to try some cake flavors at the bakery in town. It will be a fun little mommy and Rosie date." Corinne was trying to do it more now that it was summer and they had more time. Corinne let out a long yawn as they turned onto their street. She was always up earlier than anyone else to go to her spin class. So, the feeling hit her all at once. "I think I am going to take a shower and go to bed when we get home." Corinne had slipped her phone into her purse, now making sure to not leave anything in the car that she would have to retrieve later. "I'm going to the earlier class tomorrow to make sure I have enough time to get Hallie to theater camp." @clementinebeaumont
"I'm glad she let us know so we can be extra quiet once we go in." Clementine nodded. Granted, they'd be quiet anyways since they were coming in so late and so close to bed time. "That's smart thinking." Clementine nodded. "But I agree; we can get through Rosie's party and then figure that out. One task at a time." she admitted, a nod and a smile. As she turned on her turn signal to pull into their driveway, Clementine let her attention return to her wife. "Do you want company?" she paused, raising an eyebrow in her wife's direction. "Or do you want to go out with her alone? No hard feelings, just curious." Sure, Clementine wanted to be part of the experience, to take their youngest daughter taste testing, but, if Corinne wanted to go alone she'd respect it. "Why don't you let me take her to camp?" she paused, turning the ignition off on the car. "It'll give you a slower morning, give you the opportunity to sleep in a little if you want." she shrugged. "You don't have to take the offer, but, I'm free most of tomorrow." she shrugged, and looked over at her wife. She could feel her heart beating against her chest, hard and fast. "I was hoping maybe we could spend a little more time alone tonight. Sitting up, talking." she paused. "just being together." @corinnebeaumont
Abraham nodded his head, smiling at Clementine. "Of course. Ponies are the best, even when they are the absolute worst." A chuckle left his lips and he shook his head. "Yet, I bet they will behave the best for Rosie, honestly. They all love little kids around here. It's me they give a hard time." The estate owner teased with a smile resting against his lips. "Would you like to go visit one now? We don't have to get started on any lessons or anything today, but she could perhaps pick out which one she wants to work with. Or rather, they might be in charge of picking." @clementinebeaumont
"That's not something I'd think I'd ever hear." Clementine laughed. "Being the best and the worst." she added for clarification. "Ah, you know, that seems to be how a lot of things work." Clementine admitted. "Animals, people, they're the worst for the people caring for them but angels for complete strangers." she laughed. "My kids are great for everyone, but, if they were to act up, I'd want it to be for me or my wife." A truth she'd admit to anyone that she could get to listen. Even if it was just another reason to brag about her family. "We'd love that, actually." Clementine smiled, kneeling to sign to Rosie they were going to see a pony, watching as Rosie's smile grew. "Lead the way." @abrahamxwhitney

She really felt unsure what she should do as Clementine offered to take her son. She did feel like she needed a break, but at the same time, she really did want to be the one to calm Beck down. "Um.." She said as she looked at her crying son and tears lining her eyes. "I got it." She swallowed and looked at her sister-in-law. "But, please, come in." She said and moved out of the way while she bounced her son a little more. "I'm so sorry. I feel bad you're here and he's like this." @clementinebeaumont
Clementine listened - or more so watched - as she could tell Lexi was contemplating the answer to Clementine's many questions. It both warmed and hurt her heart all at the same time. She remembered feeling like she didn't know what she were doing when she'd been a new mother welcoming Hallie into her life, and despite being more in tune with babies when both Matilda came into her life and then Rosie was born, she knew how overwhelming that new baby made things feel. And if Lexi wanted her help, she'd do whatever she could to help. With the baby, with house chores, whatever would be most helpful. "That's fine, you can do whatever your gut is telling you to do. I'm here to help however I can, but also to make sure you and baby are doing okay." she nodded. Not that she were worried they weren't; Clementine loved her family and wanted nothing more than to help whoever she could. As she took a step in, she offered Lexi another small smile, eyes shifting to Beck and then back at Lexi. "Don't apologize, it's really alright." she nodded. "Have you eaten?" she questioned. "I may have brought some food and I'd be more than happy to sit with you and feed you if you just need to sit and love on your baby." she added. "Or even follow you around the house." she laughed. "Seriously, I understand you don't have to apologize." @lexiselliot
If there was one thing she knew about her sister it was that Corinne would always be the last to say when she needed something, but the first to offer her help to anyone else around her. The fact that she could help with even just a small thing to help her sister from afar was a nice feeling. "Oh- yeah, I um. I dropped down to working just like part-time while you were gone, so I'm um. I'm mostly free anytime. You tell me when and I'm there," she promised. In the wake of losing her mom and everything else, working had felt an impossible task and she was grateful that she even still had a job with how flighty she'd been. Even if it was just part-time, it helped her get by while she was still struggling to figure out what was next for her. The questions from Clem about how to get the dirt properly mixed didn't strike Remington as odd until the older woman outright said that she'd never done this before. Her eyes widened with a bit of surprise, shuffling over closer to Clem to make sure she could help walk her through it. "Well, lucky for you, you've got a team of absolute monsters at sand castle building, so we've got you. Never done this before, though, really? It's so much fun. We did this a lot growing up. Bunch of kids, hard to do a whole lot, but we could always afford a bucket and some sand. Here, you can work with this one, just gotta get it wet enough that you can pack it all together good."
"Oh." Clementine nodded, listening as Remington explained another thing that she'd missed out on being gone. Not that it was of any fault but her own, but, the sting of knowing that so much had changed and she'd missed out on life back here in Kismet Harbor; things that she'd asked about while she'd been gone that had seemed to go unanswered. "Well, if you ever need to pick up an extra shift or two, you're always welcome to come help out at the store." she stated. Not that she thought that her sister in law couldn't go full time at her current job, but, Clementine felt it was the least she could offer in this moment. The conversation about building a sandcastle made Clementine almost said, making another internal promise to let her kids have a childhood she hadn't had growing up in the Beaumont household where rules were strict and there was little time for fun it felt. So instead, she watched, following Remington's lead. "Okay." Clementine nodded, doing just that. Getting the sand wet, packing it in, letting it form before she watched her daughters, flipping the bucket and watching as part of a sandcastle appeared. "Well, look at that." she beamed. @remingtonelliot
Abraham's laughter was soft at Clementine's words. For a moment, he wondered if that's what he and Georgia would have to worry about one day if they opted to have a family. "Noted," he held up his hands in a mock surrender to both Clementine and Rosie. "No, you're welcome as long as you'd like." Abraham's smile was genuine as he looked at the both of them, hand in hand. "I'd love to," he nodded his head. "With her being, what, three years old?" If he remembered correctly, give or take. "We will probably start her off with the smaller horses, the ponies." He continued to explain, finding himself diving into his element. "Lessons with horses aren't all about riding. She can start with grooming, brushing is part of that and getting a feel for their general body language." Abraham's smile grew, "We can also get her on a pony and walking her around on a lead-line, but I'd recommend the sessions be short. No more than thirty minutes at a time." Abraham paused, "We can use visual cues, demonstrations, hand signals, whatever works to help communicate with her. The most important thing is making sure she feels comfortable." @clementinebeaumont
Clementine smiled as Abraham spoke, nodding as she looked at Rosie. "She'll be three next month, close enough to it at this point it doesn't make much of a difference. I'd say it probably even benefits her." she laughed, looking down at her daughter. Yet, it was only once the other began to explain how the process of lessons could work that she let her eyes focus on him again. "Wait, okay, I actually think starting her out getting to know the horse as a whole would be ideal." she nodded. "She's big on learning as much as she can first before she lets herself go full in, so, I think that would be a great way to get her really engaged, let her see the way that horses behave and then we can move onto riding." she nodded. "I will say I think she'll love a pony, so, the sooner we can get her acquainted with one the better. I already know that's going to be all she talks about for weeks." @abrahamxwhitney
Corinne knew her siblings, and Sydney loved spending time with the girls. Their families had missed a lot of time over the years while they were in France. "Sounds like my sister. I'm sad I missed each trip." Corinne had something at the school that day for work and could not attend. The school year was over now, and she had the summer. They could plan as many trips to the beach as they wanted. "I'm sure my brother would let us use his beach, too. That way, we don't have to deal with parking and people over the summer." She finished up on her phone, putting it onto her lap now as she mentioned getting Hallie a camera. "I think that's a great idea. Maybe we can take her to the store, she wants what she likes?" Corinne wanted to make sure they did research too before getting something so expensive for their daughter. That and it was the one that she wanted. "She was telling me in the car that she was thinking about getting into photography once she is in high school classes." The thought of that alone felt crazy. @clementinebeaumont
"Well thankfully it's summertime and there are plenty of opportunities to go to the beach." Clementine smiled, offering her wife a glance. "We'll have to plan something." And she were serious. Since her return from France she was prioritizing spending time with her family even more. Not that she hadn't before but, she'd missed them when she'd been gone. "That's a concept I hadn't thought of." she nodded. "We can; but of course the public beach always works too. We'll figure it out." she smiled, offering her wife another smile. As the conversation shifted to their oldest daughter, Clementine felt herself smile a little wider. There was nothing she liked more than talking and bragging about their kids; being a mom was the greatest gift she'd ever received. "I think that is a good idea." she nodded. "Something she likes but something she can use for those high school classes too." she stated, turning on the blinker to turn onto their street. "I mean, I have no doubt she'll take care of whichever it is she gets, she's just that kid." she added. "But I do think her picking it out herself is wise. I want her to love it if she's serious about it." @corinnebeaumont
Though Corinne had never once said it, Remington had to imagine that not having Clem around for the stretch she'd been gone had been tough on her sister. If she could step in and watch the kids for a night to give them some time alone to catch up and really just enjoy each other, she was happy to encourage it. "Good. Any time you want, I'm there. I...think she probably needs it, you know? She'd never say it, but I will." The fact that she could give her sister a night out with her wife and get to spend the evening hanging out with her nieces at the same time was an all around win as far as Remi was concerned. She loved being around the girls just as much as they seemed to enjoy being with her. To say that she missed being around kids all the time after losing her last job would be an understatement. She'd loved the job, the family, all of it, and as tough as it had been adjusting back to life in Kismet, her own family being around had help smooth that transition. Shoveling scoops of wet sand into the bucket, Remi let her head tilt just slightly towards Clem to chat while they were all digging around in the sand. "These guys are basically sand castle experts at this point," she chuckled, nose wrinkling with affection that was turned towards her nieces. "Next time you'll just have to bring the whole family with you, make it a fun trip. Hopefully that won't be for awhile, though. These goofballs kind of like having you around."
Clementine nodded as Remington stated that she thought Corinne could use a night away, and Clementine smiled. "I think so too, but you're right she would never say it." Clementine had learned a few things in her time being married to Corinne, both that she loved being treated, but also that she were just stubborn enough to refuse to ask for any kind of help. "We'll plan something. Are you free whenever? Or do you need me to make sure it works with you before I make plans?" she questioned. "I want to surprise Corinne." she smiled, knowing that if anything Clementine loved surprising people more than they probably liked being surprised. If she had to guess anyways. She watched as the girls played in the sand, confidently building a sand castle like they did it every other day. A skill Clementine herself had never successfully learned to do; growing up Charleston in a family as pristine as the Beaumont family was, it was always a shock that Clementine had even visited the beach as a child. Rarely, but not something she'd never done. "So, enlighten me." she paused, knees in the sand as she sat close to where the girls were working. "How much water is required to get the sand to form properly? Do you have to submerge it like you guys did with this hole here?" she paused. "Teach me to build a sandcastle. I'm a little embarrassed to say I've never done this before." @remingtonelliot

"Alright, Beck. It's gonna be okay." Lexi said as she walked and bounced the baby boy. He was crying and she was trying to calm him. She tried feeding him, his diaper was fine, but he was just crying. As she moved through the living room, she heard the door and she sighed as she made her way over to it. She kept bouncing her son and opened up the door to see her sister-in-law. "Clementine, hi." She said and Beckett let out a cry which caused her focus to be on him. "Sorry. He's fussy and I apparently have no idea what to do." Tears lined her eyes and she swallowed. "Um, come in." She said as she let the woman in and brought the baby up to lay against her shoulder as she rubbed his back and was trying to soothe him.
Clementine had been excited to come over to the Elliot household to meet the new baby, but she'd also been more than happy to come over and help out however she could. She remembered what it was like having a newborn at home; even though she'd not been the one giving birth this last time the nights hadn't been any less exhausting, and Clementine felt herself smiling a little sheepishly in the other's direction as she began explaining he was fussy. "You're both learning." Clementine smile, doing her best to wrap the new mother into a hug the best that she could, of course only once her arms were emptied of the things she'd brought over. They'd already spoiled their new nephew, now it was time for mom to be spoiled and Clementine had put together a gift basket of all things a post-partum mom could need; complete with meals to stash in her freezer. "I want to help." she nodded, taking a step back a moment later. "I can take him, if you need a break." she paused. "But I know how it can feel when you want to be the one to help, so I wont overstep if you'd rather me not." @lexiselliot
