So because of the Sidney Crosby special (which I have still only gotten through five minutes of, partially because I have been busy and mostly because it is VERY PAINFUL and I end up pausing every 10-20 seconds for tears), but it’s gotten me thinking about Future Dorky Dad Sidney Crosby (to be fair, when I am not thinking about Future Dorky Dad Sidney Crosby).

But like imagine when his oldest daughter reaches tweenagerhood and suddenly finds him UNBEARABLY EMBARRASSING, which Sid tries not to take personally, but he does! She’s his baby girl! “Remember when I used to be cool?” He says wistfully to Geno after his daughter has stomped away groaning that UGH he’s the WORST. And Geno chuckles and kisses the top of Sid’s head. “No,” he says. “You never cool to me,” and then “ow!” when Sid gives him a dead arm. “So mean,” he says, rubbing his arm and pouting. “I take it back, Crosby sucks.”

“PAPA!!!” Their youngest, who has obviously been eavesdropping, shouts from the other room. “DON’T SAY THE WORD SUCKS. SUCKS IS A BAD WORD!!!!”
