I guess ultimately we all hope that when our time is up we leave a positive impression on this world, and there's no doubting the impression Mr Frankie Knuckles has left. There aren't many people who can truly claim a whole genre of music was named after them, but Frankie's residence at the Warehouse was just *that* important. It's a testament to the man that he kept DJing around the world after diabetes saw him lose a leg, but it's sad it got him so young. The word 'legend' is used too often but in this case it's more than apt. RIP Frankie Knuckles. x
