ELEVEN.

     While with the other familiar students he met so far, Jack felt excitement and curiosity at the prospect of them being here too, when he sees Queen he feels something else entirely-- relief, even if he doesn’t recognize it inside himself. She’s one of the more rational members of Class Zero and, in this place, they could really use someone like that.

     So, between him and Sice, he finds that maybe they’re not the only ones here faster than he thought he would. He’s not sure if that’s a good thing or not at first, but it means they’re all alive... right? And, surely, even if it’s being alive in this place, that’s better than being dead, huh? Well, he hopes so, and in case his piecing together is wrong, he decides to get a second opinion-- Cater’s, to be exact.

     If he has to give a word for it, this guy definitely reminds him more of Concordia than any other place he’s seen, but.. well, from Jack’s experience, he’s sure that the chance of him meeting someone from the same world (is that it?) as him is pretty slim. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, anyway-- he’s not particularly against meeting new people, but that’s never really been his goal or the collective goal of Class Zero in general, really. Making new friends at any time he wanted to and living a normal life.. He’d gotten a brief taste of that at the school, but this place is pretty different when it comes down to it.

     Jack knows better than to talk to strange... people... monster... bulls? He really does! Mother taught him better than that and he’s totally one hundred percent up to listening to her advice, like, ninety-nine percent of the time, but.. when you’re lost in a new, rather large location, what can you do besides greet the locals? Or at least he thinks this guy is a local... maybe. Wait, what if he can’t even speak human language? Jack really should have thought about that sooner, but here he is now, having already approached him. Great.

     So, Hive city. Or... alternatively, ‘We’re-Taking-You-Back-From-The-Dead-And-That’s-Great-But-Now-You-Have-To-Live-On-The-Streets-And-Oh-By-The-Way-Did-We-Forget-To-Mention-The-DANGEROUS-PEOPLE-IN-YOUR-DISTRICT?-Whoops!’ City. Yeah, Jack likes to think that fits much better. His goal right now is to... take a break, you know. Get as far away from this district as he can. A street’s a street no matter what, right? So he doesn’t have to live here.. not necessarily. He’ll figure it out.

     Jack doesn’t hesitate to catch up with her as soon as he sees the back of her head-- that uniform, her hair.. It’s too hard to miss. ❝ Sice! I didn’t know you were here, but well... I’m glad. ❞ He only pauses momentarily, his happy tone staying solid.
