Anyways, post navigating clancybearer my beloved they could never make me hate you even if I know you're doomed by the narrative you are so special to me.

I really do think navigating was the final nail in the coffin that secured Clancy’s eventual fate in becoming Nova. I think having that trust shattered along with realising that in their time apart, Clancy and Torch have become very different people.

Even if they try to move past it, they’ve both changed so much that things never quite feel the same as they once did. Clancy’s laughter isn’t as genuine and his songs are sadder. Torch has more responsibility on his shoulders and can’t relax like he once did.

post navigating clancybearer my beloved. it’s such an interesting moment that we aren’t granted any time to actually sit in, with so much time lost between them and the things they both had to do to get where they currently are. I’ve always wondered what the vibe of the camp would be like when Clancy came back, after all the propaganda and public appearances, would the camp think of her differently? And I’d love a little more insight on the aftermath of the projection reveal, because things seem tense between them both right until the end from that point on. Did they talk about it? Did they both ignore it?

I have a lot of feelings about the Torchbearer’s flaws and having to make hard decisions as a leader. I don’t think there was anything else Torch could have done, because they were needed by both Clancy and the camp, but it still had a negative affect on Clancy. The whole way though the story Clancy is put on this pedestal as some great chosen hope by both sides, and as such she doesn’t really get much autonomy to make her own decisions :(( it’s always both sides doing what they think is best for her.
