“I hope, it sounds like it would be a super fun day” she laughed.  “I think I’m gonna have the best class party food ever, everyone’s gonna be super happy, we just have to make sure it tastes great.”

“That sounds like a good plan to me!” She grinned, wrinkling her nose, “Is there anything else you need for your party?” 

“Dear god Claire Bear, you need to take a break. I suggest a cup of tea and a movie. What do you say?”

“I can’t take a break from studying- it’ll just stress me out more because I need to concentra- well...what movie?” 

“there’s about eighty chi-chi the chinchilla’s out there. you should! animals needs great home instead of awful chain pet stores. oh i do, it’s like a zoo at my house.”

“That sounds like a lot of fun. I bet that takes a lot of patience and love to take care of them all like that. I really want to, but I’m not sure if I’m allowed because there are so many kids here they might have allergies. But one day I definitely want to be like that.” 

“Well, most of the stuff I wore before today was from the drugstore. But I’ve been getting better at it, so I decided to splurge on some really good stuff.”

“Wow, maybe you can do my makeup someday! What kind of things did you get? I always end up watching those makeup videos on youtube even though I never really practice it, they’re so fun to just watch” 

“Wanna see all the new make up I got today? It’s the good stuff, from Sephora.”

“You wear makeup from Sephora? Wow. Are you good at it?” 

Don’t get me wrong, I love summer, but I’m excited for the school year to start.

“I agree with that, typically. I love school, but right now I’m still just so happy to be done with finals.” 

“Yay it’s gonna be such a fun day when she finally takes us, I just hope all the other kids don’t think it’s too babyish” she shrugged. “So you’ll teach me how to make them? I think I’d like bright blue icing that’s lemon flavored if we can” Annabelle decided with a huge grin. “This is gonna be super fun, what kinda things can we decorate ‘em with?”

“I’m sure they won’t! I think things like that really bring out the kid in people, y’know? And even if they do, we’ll have our own fun, don’t worry!” Laughing a little at Annabelle’s decision, she nodded, “We definitely can try and figure out some blue icing with lemon! We can also put sprinkles on them- or different kind of candy, because icing will pretty much make anything stick to the cupcake top. All your friends at school are going to be super impressed!” 

“my daughter named her caroline. well i do my internship hours at a pet clinic, and people abandon their animals there a lot, so my co-workers call me when they see an animal they know i will rescue.”

“Caroline the Chinchilla? I actually really like that- usually they’re all named Fluffy or something. That’s really nice of you. I hope I can do that one day when I have my own house. Do you have lots of other pets?”

“oh that’s cool, i basically do that, just not professionally.”

“Not professionally? Then how? It’d be a dream, if I could ever get there.” 

“you’re that stressed out baby? what will help? do you need me to help you study?”

“No, no, I can study. It’s just life in general. And every grade matters, Mom. Because then colleges will see them” 

“I think that you might be over thinking it. You already know everything, you just have to find a way to unlock it from your brain.“

“And that’s the tricky part. I honestly am just counting down the days for summer” 

“oh yeah? what’re you going to school for?”

“Well, as of right now, the game plan is social work. Fingers crossed.” 

“buddha? i don’t think i sound like him. i’m so excited!”

“Okay true, you may be one of the silliest people I know! Still though, you are very wise sometimes!!” 

“That’s what I thought too. But I guess not. Just a lowly cashier, nothing too terribly exciting.”

“Well, I like your kindness. I think more people should be that way....even if that apparently is the unpopular opinion.” 

“To be honest though, there’s always going to be something you’re not going to remember and chances are it’ll never be on the exams.”

“Or chances are the one thing that you didn’t study is the one thing that’s on the exam. I feel like thats definitely happened to me before” 

“Yeah apparently there’s super big slides with water I can’t wait until we can go. It would be fun if you come with us” she giggled smiling up at the blonde as she brushed the hair away from her face.  “Boys aren’t the worst  they’re just the hungriest. But that would be a good idea, I’m just not sure how to make stuff. What can you cook?” she asked. “I mean I like cupcakes but I just don’t know how to cook ‘em.”

“Definitely count me in then. I love waterslides and rollercoasters and all of that!” She nodded, “We can definitely cook cupcakes! They’re not super hard, and that would be a good thing to bring because it’s not too messy” She encouraged, “I’m sure we can get whatever icing you want from the store too, so you can decorate them however you want!” 

“I’ve only had this job a week, and other people on my shift already hate me. It’s not my fault I’m the only one that tries to be polite to customers so I don’t get told off.”

“I mean, that sounds like the smartest thing to do, honestly. What do you work as?”
