Gosh, being a princess is hard

“yeah, but i can’t take any more for like… four hours or some shit like that. and i’m like, 90% sure fin has ‘em. she’s been giving them to me, i don’t even know where the bottle is.”

“oh okay, maybe you should try and nap? when you wake up you can take more medicine. i’m pretty sure she had ‘em, she wants to make sure you get them at the right time i guess.”

“not really, no.” she sighed. “can’t say i’ve ever seen american in paris or roman holiday. i don’t even know what they’re about. you fell asleep during beauty and the beast? how could you do that during such a masterpiece?”

“do you want to tell me where you went? or do you not want to talk about it?” devon spoke. “i’ll make you watch them eventually, you know i will. we haven’t had a movie night in a while. i can’t believe i did either. it had just been a long day.”

“not that far, really.” she shrugged. “they were? that sounds terrifying, but i guess it’s good that they’re okay. i know you do. which ones?”

“did you go somewhere fun?” devon asked. “it does sound terrifying, i can’t even imagine it. i’m very glad they’re okay. i watched an american in paris and roman holiday and a few others. i started beauty and the beast but i fell asleep during it.”

“yeah.” she nodded. “there were? is everyone okay? of course you did. any good movies?”

“where did you go?” she asked softly. “yeah. i know emory and madison were in one and i heard there were a couple more. they’re hurt but okay. i always watch movies. i just watched more of the classics.”

“i wasn’t actually sick.” she mumbled, feeling guilty about lying to devon. “well i’m glad i didn’t miss much, i guess. mhm, definitely pretty dangerous.”

“you weren’t? did you go somewhere?” devon asked. “i mean there were a couple car accidents, which aren’t normal. i just mostly stayed home and watched movies.”

devon: hey...

devon: hey...

“i will, thanks, dev. you’re a good friend.” she nodded. “yeah, i know about the storm. inside’s a good place. i was outside for a little bit. it was freaky.”

“i’m your best friend,” she smiled, “other than that everything’s been pretty normal for me. it was super freaky outside.”

“oh, no. ‘m alright, thanks though.” she said, forcing a small smile. “thanks. i guess i’m feeling a little bit better. did i miss anything life changing?”

“of course, if you need anything just let me know,” she shrugged, “not really. you missed a pretty nasty storm. i stayed inside for most of it.”

“hi.” she closed her book, not looking up. “yeah, i’ve, uh, been really busy with stuff and then i got sick or whatever, so. i missed you too.”

“are you still sick? d’you want me to get you anything?” she asked. “you like you’re feeling a little better.”
