He thrust his hand out toward Luna, facing away from her, yet watching her reaction out of the corner of his eye, never once letting his gaze leave her form. In his hand were a bouquet of blue roses, certainly not from the B Garden (at least if she asked, for he knew he'd get an earful if he told her he picked her flowers, even if it was dedicated to such a noble cause). Then again, where else would they have come from?
"So uh... I got you these flowers, since that's what you do for Valentine's day, right? You get people flowers and gifts. And it makes them feel good. Makes them feel like individuals because someone gives half a shit about them and about what they like and who they like and for a day someone gets to know they matter to you. People celebrate this holiday Luna. I don't care if I'm a clone of if you're made of metal and code, we're both people. So... as two people on this made up holiday for people with emotions, will you be my Valentine or whatever you do?"
He shook the flowers a little to bring her attention to them. She'd been listening to what he had to say, one arm around her middle and the other moving up to hold that arm. She wasn't entirely sure what to do. Valentine's Day? Was that something even celebrated anymore, in this timeline anyway, she couldn't speak for the others, for times she knew nothing about, places Akane and Doctor Klim had been and not returned from with stories, if they returned at all, not that she'd remember that either. But if what Dio was saying was true, then the plan to integrate her flawlessly into human society was a success and a failure at once. They knew now what she was, what he was, but, did anyone seem to really mind it? Dio had called her human, and in some regards he was right, it's what she was made to be. So maybe, if she was human, at least to him, she could give in to human desires for once.
Taking the flowers from his hand, she held them up, hiding her face behind them slightly.
"Thank you Dio, they're lovely". She turned from him, taking a few steps, before turning back to beckon him with a gentle nod of her head, and an even gentler smile on her lips.
"Lets go find a vase for these, alright? Together."
And before she could disappear into one of the coloured doors, he felt himself scramble after her, grin stretching his face and a small spark in his eyes.
For a made up holiday, this one was going to be the best.
