Itās been 27 years since Deforest Kelley passed and I want to thank @spawksstuff for all of the memorial posts. After reading all of the posts one thing Iāve noticed is that no one had a negative thing to say about one. I truly hope that he knew how much people loved and appreciated him. 90 years ago to the day, De had his graduation ceremony from high school.
What kind of student was De?
De: Oh, high school teachers down here in front. Wants to know what kind of a high school kid I was. Well, I was a poor Baptist preacher's son. I was going to a place called Decatur High School. Yay, Decatur. And my father had no church at the time and we were on WPA and NYA. I was working after school cleaning up the lockers and that sorta thing. And I did fairly well in school except math. I just couldn't stand math. I've never been able to use that x + y=2 to this day.

Part 1: The Problem
McCoy was standing to attention in the transporter room. His dress uniform felt especially uncomfortable today, and he couldnāt wait to get rid of it again, just like he couldnāt wait to get rid of this nasty excuse for an ambassador. In hindsight, even Elaan of Troyius had seemed friendly and well-behaved compared to him. If the rest of this new member planetās population were anything like him, then God help the Federation!
The ambassador was as rude as they come and hadnāt missed a chance to put his foot in it. McCoy couldnāt shed the feeling that heād enjoyed it, too. Had probably done it on purpose in the first place. Heād been arrogant and demanding. And highly disrespectful, especially of the female members of the crew. Uhura, whoād been chosen as his āpersonal assistantā, had taken the brunt of it, and McCoy had barely been able to keep his temper, witnessing the smart and amazing communications officer being insulted time after time.
