Snow day part 2 I’ve posted this before and I’m happy it’s become a tradition. Whenever I know I’m going to have a snow day I like to make pulled pork on the slow cooker. The aroma fills the house and is very welcoming when you come in from shoveling (which took a LONG time). It’s delicious & makes me happy. Stay hungry, -Cip-

Snow day! It’s unusual to have a snow day this early but I’ll take it. As much as I don’t like snow, I get excited for snow days because of the food! You have to start the day off right - eggs, bacon, bagel, and coffee. I’ve got something special in the slow cooker right now 😋 More to come... Stay hungry, -Cip-

Pumpkin goat cheese risotto with bacon. Super easy meal that is DELICIOUS! I love making risotto because although it’s easy, it takes time. You can’t rush it. It’s been a while (I start most posts this way). Thanksgiving feels like an appropriate day to come back. I love this Day. So much food and good times with family. My absolute favorite thanksgiving day item is stuffing. It’s not a crazy recipe but it’s just delicious. I hope everyone has a great day and eats amazing food. Stay hungry, -Cip-

Before and after. I love grilled cheese. The key is to cook it low and slow. Make sure the cheese is melty and the bread is nice and crispy. You need to be able to get that perfect crunch sound on every bite. Use a variety of cheeses and have fun. Pair it with tots and you have a perfect meal. Stay hungry, -Cip-

Snow days. I love having a snow day because it’s a great excuse to stay inside and cook. Here are my 2 highlights. To the left we have a classically delicious breakfast. 2 over easy eggs with a slice of melted cheddar, buttered toast, sliced avocado, and of course, bacon! A meal doesn’t need to be complicated - it just needs to make you happy. This was the perfect way to start an unexpected day off. I of course had this with a nice hot up of coffee. On the right is BBQ pulled chicken made in the slow cooker with cheesy polenta and guacamole. Super simple. Super delicious. Both of these meals are perfect examples of coming up with a meal based on what you have in the kitchen. I know it’s been a SUPER long time since I’ve posted stuff. Maybe I’ll try to do this more regularly (I’ve said that many times before). Stay hungry, -Cip-

Happy Memorial Day! We luckily had a beautiful day today, so I decided to break out the grill. I love using a charcoal grill as opposed to gas. Gas isn't bad but there's something that a coal fire gives to your food that a gas grill just can't do. Investing in a charcoal chimney to heat up your coals (use natural lump coal) is one of the best accessories for your grill. Today we made burgers with a mix of ground turkey and sweet Italian pork sausage. The fat from the sausage keeps the burger moist and full of flavor. Top it with Swiss, bacon, beer pickles, and BBQ sauce for a delicious dinner. Stay hungry, -Cip-

Drink your coffee in style.

I know I post this every time I have it. It's important to remember the greats. In-N-Out is one of the greats. Just order a cheese burger animal style with extra pickle, fries well done, & a vanilla shake. Perfection. If you head out west, seek one of these out. You'll never regret it.

Cold? If you live in NY, then I know you are. I needed to get away from the windchill and go to a place where a jacket is not required. This places me in Texas. While NY is about to get some snow, I'm enjoying 75 degree weather ☀️😎 My first stop off the plane last night was to Taco Diner. Nice little Mexican restaurant that specializes in street tacos. The legit tacos. The type you get off of a food truck. What's the key to a REAL taco? Corn tortillas. Take the flour ones & throw them in the trash. I have no pictures because I was starving but I definitely recommend this place. Stay warm. Stay hungry. -Cip- Ps. Happy Valentine's Day.

Snow day! So on a typical snow day, my typo a go-to meal is pulled pork in the slow cooker. I love it! Today was slightly different & equally delicious. Pulled Chicken! I love having something cooking in the slow cooker all day. With a meal like this, you get the BBQ sauce aroma filling every room of your house and when you walk in from shoveling, it's like your food is saying "welcome home!" Today we decided to change things up even further. We still made cole slaw, but since we had some left over corn tortillas, we made tacos. Garnish it with thinly sliced pickle and you're all set. We also had some home made mac n cheese on the side. Perfect. As much as I'm not a huge fan of snow, I make the best of it with meals like this. Stay hungry (and warm), -Cip-

Keep in mind that we actually care about our health, which is why it's taking us so long to go down the list. The Lure Fishbar is an awesome restaurant. You have to walk down a flight of stairs to get in & the inside looks like a boat. You actually feel like you're under water. The burger was great! Very fresh. Perfectly cooked. Classic. That's what we liked so much about this burger. Nothing fancy. No frills. Just a great classic burger. I'd say this was just a step above a diner burger (always delicious).
