I love these Little Free Libraries that are popping up all over the place. I go for a two mile walk every day, and lately, when I’m in an interesting place, I’ve taken to hunting down Little Free Libraries and “collecting” them by snapping a picture.

I was in Somerville, Massachusetts on Friday and Saturday morning and decided to visit all the Little Free Libraries I could find and leave signed books there. I needed to make space on a shelf at home, okay?

If you track down one of my books and claim it for yourself, don’t forget the rule: take a book, leave a book!

The other, less well-known rule, is that you have to tweet me a pic of you finding the book, and another pic of the book you left. Because that will be cool. I want to know what you traded me for.

Maybe if you grab one signed book, don’t take another for 24 hours, to give someone else a chance to get one.

Hope these books find their way to a good home where they will be looked after.

A French artist going by the name “Stan” created this awesomely impressive series VHS-style covers and cases for modern movies and TV shows. This project was conceived as an April Fools’ Day prank, but each cover is so detailed and convincing in its design that it’s also fair to call this a nostalgic work of art.
