bucky definitely has broken into reader’s apartment in the middle of the night while both matt and reader are out (patrol or date or case prep) just because he wanted a very specific snack that he loves and knows reader does too but he was out so instead of going to the store to get more he went and ransacked reader’s pantry.
matt & reader come back and matt is just done and tired so he goes straight to the shower while reader & bucky sit on the living room having a sleepover moment

“Someone’s in the apartment,” Matt whispered, listening carefully as he stood outside on the fire escape.
Matt is bloodied and battered, wanting nothing more than to get cleaned up and sleep. She’s feeling the same, having been thrown on her back tonight to the point that she felt it crack somewhere. But Matt’s paranoid, refusing to enter the apartment until he got a feel for who it was.
She shivers, groaning. “It’s probably Yelena. It’s always Yelena,” she reminds him, going to open the window.
Matt makes the most aggregated sound possible, yanking his mask off and tossing it to the floor. “Why the hell are you in my apartment?”
“Our apartment,” she reminds him as she kicks her boots off. She narrows her eyes as Bucky holds up a box of watermelon sour patch kids. “You ass. You can get those literally anywhere.”
“Yeah but this was closer.”
Matt just sort of stares blankly before he shakes his head. She’s about to ask Bucky to leave but Matt huffs in annoyance and throws his hands up, leaving the room and shutting the bedroom door.
“He’s such a good host,” Bucky offers, holding out the bag to her. She rolls her eyes and plops down beside him.
“We got our asses handed to us. Could have used some help.”
“Yeah, nah. I retired, remember?”
“I didn’t realize stealing back the shield and breaking Zemo out of jail was retiring.”
“Get out of my apartment so I can placate my boyfriend.”
“I think I’m gonna stick around and cockblock him,” Bucky urged, grinning at her. From the bedroom, there sounded like a lamp being thrown at a wall. “See? He’s thrilled.”
