so ontario just recently passed a new sex ed curriculum that targets kids earlier on and teaches things about abusive relationships or friendships, the gender spectrum, sexuality, what intersex means and etc which is a HUGE milestone in the LGBTQAI+ community. yet conservatives are trying to petition to now remove this system that hasnt even had a chance to be actually put into practice. my dad brought home a flier which stated that we should petition against this. the main reasons on the flier that was against this was because it teaches things about the gender spectrum and about different sexualities as well as apparently “teaching kids about sex too soon”. so i just wanted to warn my fellow canadians about this petition against this curriculum and if you see your parents or whoever with this flier please talk to them about the huge advantages it brings because it considers not only the things they will teach but HOW it will be taught. things for ESL learners are considered and those with learning disabilities arent removed by default from these classes. This new curriculum is so much more than just about sexual education. please dont let conservatives take this good thing from us. if any of you  know about a reverse petition out there to keep the conservatives from taking this from us please let me know on this post!!
