AHHHH OFCOFCOFCOFCCC!!!

(Full disclosure I never heard of HIM before I listened to a ton of it for this list! (Awesome music btw) However I have been a HUGE MCR fan since I was like 11!!!)

Frank: Frank's favorite HIM song is TOTALLY It's All Tears (Drown in this Love)!!! He listens to it ALL the time and he absolutely ADORES it!!! It's driving and it has a really sexy beat and he absolutely LOVES how subtely (well somewhat subtle, not at the end LMAO) suggestive the lyrics are!!! He thinks that it's SUCH an amazing song and he loves it SO much!!! When he first heard it, he got into a heated debate with Brad while it was playing for the first time about whether the song was about sex or not and when the lyric "I'll violate you in the most sensual way" he cheered and pointed and laughed at Brad!!! It was amazing!!! His favorite MCR song is House of Wolves because he is SO horny for it!!! It makes him feel SO amazing and he plays it on BLAST everywhere that he goes and it is WILD!!! He stalks around the house to it and tries to flirt with it ALL the time!!! Frank absolutely LOVES both HIM and MCR!!! He really does!!!

Brad: Brad's favorite HIM song is In Love and Lonely!!! He thinks that it has such wonderful lyrics and it really helped him get through his hard times with Janet!!! They worked it out and they're happier than ever and Brad still feels grateful to the help that that song provided for him!!! He loved hearing a song about someone NOT giving up when their partner was sad and it helped give him the courage to do the same!!! It really does mean a lot to him and he loves it so much!!! His favorite MCR song is Welcome to the Black Parade!!! He knows that he's fully basic for that answer, but it IS an absolutely PHENOMENAL song and he loves it SO much!!! His favorite part is the fast part and Janet's favorite part is the slow part so they compliment each other REALLY well!!! They always give each other a little smile as the band plays at the end of that song and it's SO sweet!!! Everyone thinks that they're absolutely ADORABLE for it and y'know what? They TOTALLY are!!!

Janet: Janet's favorite HIM song is (I'm gonna count it because it fits her really well-) is their cover of Beautiful by Carole King!!! The lyrics have her absolutely swooning and she absolutely LOVES the way that they perform the song!!! She listens to it CONSTANTLY!!! If she were to pick an original song of theirs it'd probably be Dead Lover's Lane because she thinks that it's got an upbeat and fun melody and she thinks that the lyrics are really dark and interesting!!! She jams out to that song in the car ALL the time and she loves to sing along as well!!! Janet's favorite MCR song is Sing because she finds it to be SO inspirational and she loves it SO much!!! She grew up believing that she shouldn't do anything until a boy noticed her and she shouldn't make anything of herself, but she always wanted to and this song always helped encourage her to raise her voice and stand out from the crowd!!! The song even told the girls to sing too!!! It made her feel so wonderful and she cried the first time she heard it!!! She loves these bands SO much!!! They help her a lot!!!

Riff Raff: Riff Raff's favorite HIM song is Acoustic Funeral!!! He really loves it and he finds that it's a REALLY great song for dancing and to sing along to as well!!! He can be found dancing wildly to it and singing along as he does ALL the time!!! Magenta will often join in and sometimes Columbia as well!!! They all have so much fun together and it's amazing!!! He really loves it and it makes him feel really energized so it helps him wake up in the morning, too!!! His favorite MCR song is Famous Last Words, because, in a way that's actually similar to Acoustic Funeral, he finds that it strikes a PERFECT balance between being quite rock n roll and also being very beautiful as well!!! He thinks that Famous Last Words is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL song and he also relates to it WHOLE lot!!! He finds the song to be eerily reminiscent of his decision to leave Frank and the pain and self hatred that he suffered beforehand!!! Riff Raff absolutely LOVES both of these bands and all of the wonderful songs that they put out!!! He really does!!!

Magenta: Magenta absolutely ADORES Heartache Every Moment!!! She thinks that it's SUCH a fun song and a TOTAL banger!!! She really loves the way that the lyrics can be so wonderfully gothic and she thinks that the angst that that song carries is absolutely AMAZING and she absolutely LOVES to listen to it while she's doing housework and other tasks that a domestic must do!!! Magenta's favorite song by MCR is The Sharpest Lives!!! She thinks that it's DELIGHTFULLY Rock-N-Rolly and she thinks that it's got a BANGER gothic vibe and she absolutely LOVES the way that it flows!!! She loves to point to herself on the line "in love with all of these vampires" even though she's an alien since she carries a TOTAL vampire vibe!!! Or she and Riff Raff will point at each other if he's singing along with her, which happens a whole lot!!! Magenta has cried and smiled SO wide to these songs a WHOLE lot and she absolutely loves them!!! She really does!!!

Columbia: Columbia's favorite song by HIM is Again!!! She loves it SO much and she loves to dance around to it!!! She'll sing along all the time and she thinks that it's SO much fun!!! She loves her rock songs to be INCREDIBLY lively (that's one of the reasons that she always made Eddie sing Hot Patootie Bless My Soul for her!!!) And she thinks that Again absolutely NAILS that feeling!!! She loves it a LOT!!! Her favorite MCR song is Na Na Na for that exact same reason!!! She thinks that it's SO much of a mood booster, even if the lyrics are really dark!!! She's always absolutely ADORED how rock songs can do that!!! Safe to say, she gets her Eddie to sing both of these songs to her ALL the time and she's absolutely SWOONING!!! If they're in public he'll always point and say "this one's for you!" First and she loves it SO much!!! She's totally smiling as wide as is humanly possible as other people tell her how jealous they are because this is so wonderful!!! Columbia absolutely LOVES these songs!!! She really does!!!

Rocky: Rocky's favorite song by HIM is Salt In Our Wounds!!! At this age, he doesn't actually know what that phrase means, but he thinks that the melody is absolutely DELIGHTFUL and the phrase sounds REALLY cool!!! He thinks that it's SO much fun and he puts it on ALL the time!!! He thinks that the melody sounds really nice and happy at this age, and even when that changes, he'll always love the song so much!!! His favorite MCR song is Blood because he thinks that it's so fun and it makes him smile SO wide!!! He understands what these lyrics mean, and he thinks that the song is either about magical vampires or just about people who are really really weird!!! Either way, he absolutely CANNOT hear it too many times!!! Sometimes he'll play Salt In Our Wounds and and Blood at the exact same time for HOURS on end!!! It's a bit tedious and tiresome for everyone else after a while, but it keeps him happy in a way that keeps him from breaking anything or hurting himself so they just let it happen!!! Rocky LOVES these songs!!! He really does!!!

Eddie: Eddie is a HUUUUUUGGEEEE fan of both of these bands!!! When it comes to picking his favorite children, his favorite song by HIM is Heartkiller!!! He thinks that it's SUCH an amazing song and SO wonderfully catchy!!! He loves it SO much!!! His favorite song by MCR is Mama because he feels like that song just UNLEASHES something in him!!! When he performs that one he feels more like a badass than EVER!!! He also relates to it a lot, given his criminal history so he sings that one directly from his soul!!! It's actually made him cry while singing live before!!! He sings these songs live SO much and he goes absolutely WILD with them both!!! Doing opt ups wherever it sounds good!!! The crowd goes absolutely WILD every single time!!! He also loves to sing Teenagers around the house ALL the time to irritate his uncle because of the lyrics and what a monster he was as a teenager!!! Thankfully, Doctor Scott finds it REALLY amusing!!! Eddie absolutely ADORES these bands!!! He really does!!!

Doctor Scott: Doctor Scott thinks that Love Without Tears is a REALLY good song!!! He thinks that it's truly an incredibly beautiful rock song and that it's SO powerful on top of that, especially considering how painful it is for him to love his rock n roll singing nephew, so the song carries multiple meanings for him and he is SO grateful that it exists and he loves it SO much!!! His favorite song by MCR is The Light Behind Your Eyes because he thinks that it is SUCH a beautiful song and he finds it amazing that rock songs with such beauty can fully exist!!! It makes him so happy!!! When Eddie first came home to find his uncle listening to both of these songs, he came and sat down next to him and listened to the rest of the song with him and then they talked about it!!! It was a real bonding moment and it meant so much to both of them!!! Eddie revealed that Love Without Tears reminded him of their relationship, too and he agreed that Light Behind Your Eyes is really beautiful!!! He sings them for him now sometimes!!! It's really amazing!!! Doctor Scott LOVES these songs!!! He totally does!!!

The Criminologist: The Criminologist's favorite song by HIM is Like St. Valentine because he absolutely LOVES how exciting it is and he LOVES that it feels so wonderfully scandalous!!! He loves to find out secrets and he feels like this song is a SUPER fun secret that he's getting let in on!!! He loves how the lyrics express a guy cheating on his wife in such a fun way!!! He really does!!! His favorite MCR song is I'm Not Okay (I Promise) because of all the storytelling in it!!! He thinks that it's revealing snippets of SUCH a fun and scandalous story and he wishes SO much that he could know more!!! He's not a stalker, in fact, it's his job to help bring those folks down! But that song makes him WANT to stalk the band to see if there's more of a story he can figure out in relation to that song!!! He's SO invested and he dreams of that being one of his BIG cases in the future!!! The Criminologist is a HUGE fan of these bands!!! Such a fan that he wants to go crazy!!!

MCR albums as characters! The other day I thought about My Chem's discography and what each album would be like as a standalone character, here's what I came up with! It was surprisingly difficult to not draw Gerard for each of these eras haha Bullets to me has this very, sort of, gloomy vibe, very grounded in reality, raw human emotions, horror inspired themes, the dread of being stuck in a corporate hell hole.

In my mind Revenge is pure American Gothic, running away from the law, vampires, blood, love and death.

The Black Parade to me is perfect the way we know it. I tried a million different faces for the character, but none of them quite fit, so I just left the character without one! Which, in my opinion, fit the concept of Death nicely.
