This is one I like to do out at Renaissance fairs, of course, and one that fits on the gurdy quite nicely. We love songs that don't change chords!!

In the deep, quiet places of the world, there are things too ancient for words. Ancient even to those who lived aeons before your time, before the mightiest trees were sown. These ancient things will outlive you, too.

I couldn't get this chord progression out of my head

Take care when passing through the aspen grove, where the white trunks grow in neat rows. The witch who lives there suffers no disruption to the quiet and calm.

What was perhaps once a final resting place for some ancient hero, now a decaying pile of rubble. Whatever great deeds were chronicled here have been lost to time, for no one still living can read the carvings.
