Devotion is important to any person’s spiritual development. Devotion is one of those words that has been put into that ambiguous spiritual category that makes people a little uneasy. Does it mean devotion to a god, to ourselves, to our loved ones? I would argue that devotion is a simple concept. Don’t get me wrong I don’t claim to have mastered the actions I just mean the idea on a spiritual level is a simple one. We should devote ourselves to making life better. This encompasses ourselves, our loved ones and the world around us. It is important that we remain devoted to our selves. Without being happy in our own skin temples it is very difficult to share that devotion with the space around us. In order to truly pursue devotion we have to understand the difference between immediate satisfaction and true happiness and contentment. If we pursue our immediate needs I. every situation, bowing to only our baser instincts, we deny ourselves the larger instinct of being grounded in a community.

As I have grown older and wiser over the years I, like most everyone else, have learned some valuable lessons. Some retained, some forgotten. I realized that many of the truths that I remembered were associated with lines from movies and books and lyrics from songs. Seeing how I am an avid collector of all three this is not so shocking. But truth does not have to be shocking in order to still be the truth. My belief is that there is a forth dimensional consciousness. A mind wave they we are all tied together with. We are able to tap into it and pick out nuggets of truth that help us in our daily lives As we are inspired and create we become open to our true selves and our weaknesses. Through this truth is channeled through mans creation of art to be shared on the physical plane. We are at an evolutionary stage where we cannot add to and draw from the cosmic truth so art creation allows us to spread cosmic truths, in turn helping society as a whole evolve.

As for chuds it is sad that the Redding music venue is changing hands. Luckily it’s going to Pappy shakes of the schoolmarms so I’m sure it’ll still see its fair share of action.
