I like to think so and its kind of fun, especially when you met a fellow creative mind who can come up with questions that aren't the standard ones because no offense, they're kind of boring. I find intelligence and great conversation about like-minded topics far more appealing than knowing someone's coffee order, you know? I feel that is important too but not unless we were actually going for coffee. And you're right, red flags will present themselves during random topic questions because if they don't have to think about the answer, then its rehearsed and can be a lie. That is very good to know, I don't judge anyone for their pet of choice, even if I do question why sometimes. I have no idea where my Hallmark obsession came from, I just turned on the tv one day during the holidays because a friend of mine was debuting a new movie and I watched and I don't know, the obsession was made. They're so cheesy and unrealistic but I can't stop watching new ones when they come on. Have I really? Well that's one thing I can stop stressing over! I wasn't even trying either, time for a self high five!

Your very hypothetical friend cannot skip the event now because then it officially becomes suspicious and obvious. The move here is confidence. You walk in, act normal, and at some point casually go, ' I lost my phone and accidentally lost half my life with it.' Boom. Problem solved. Mature and effortless. That is a very good point. Skipping the event simply to avoid owning up to the ghosting would only make the situation worse, despite the very valid and true reasoning behind it. Not to mention, they would be risking the end of a friendship if word got out that they skipped the event for selfish reasons rather than an emergency or busy schedule Haha, thankfully they were not kept waiting over a year but it was at least two months while hypothetical friend was busy filming and going through a rather bad breakup.

Exactly! That is the absolute worst thing you can ask someone because in that moment, the awkwardness sets in and is just not a good time. This way, you're in control and you have time to think about your answer and make that first impression - not that you need it because you're Demi Lovato but still, it neverhurts to ask the meaningful questions right away. Oh those are pretty closely matched to what I would have said so good call on changing the questions up, except I have cats and not dogs. Hmm, let me think - 1) that's hard to narrow down because I watch so many but they're not shows - I am a sucker for a cheesy Hallmark film so whenever I've had a bad day, I put one of them on with some popcorn and Cleo. 2) Definitely a texter, I'm far to busy to talk to someone directly. 3) Its raining and I'm at home, curled up with my cats and a good book or two
