I saw a fan edit for Percy Jackson of Luke and a fan cast for May, but the fan cast was Philipa Soo.

She played Eliza in Hamilton, and can we be honest that she would be great as May Castellan?

She plays the distressed mother role in so many things. And she is just the perfect fit for it, she would capture that distressed mother of a son who she doesn't know isn't coming home to perfection.

Not to mention that it would be May and Hermes, and because Hermes is played by Lin-Manuel Miranda, it would be Hamilton and Eliza again. And so they'd already have that sort of connection, which would just make it seem all the more real.
