maybe im just a sucker for angst but i love the idea of a simeon who hides all of his real insecurities from bronco. I could imagine him playing up feeling self conscious about things he doesnt dislike about himself (inadvertently making bronco compliment the parts of himself that hes proud of and wants to show off) while hiding and ignoring all of the things he actually dislikes. in my mind, its like he sees his real, biggest insecurities as something that could risk their friendship (and risking the friendship means risking his very important revenge plan!!) so he hides the parts that he thinks will scare bronco away and makes himself what He Thinks bronco will find palatable, likely more childish because their time together as kids was the purest and most untainted part of their friendship. well. at some point.
