What do you think, and why?
There are two opposing philosophies on niche markets and targeting potential customers for products. One view is that the broader your target audience, the more market penetration is possible and ultimately, the more customers you will have because of the broad customer-base it serves.
While this is a strategy that many products and companies thrive on, it is not practical for those with fewer resources and funds to throw away.
However, there is another philosophy that is highly profitable and vulnerable for most of us using what we already know. In fact, the constraints of less funds and resources allows for a level of creativity hard to access otherwise.
Think about the things you use everyday. Why do you enjoy using them? Why did you buy those fine ass leather boots all those years ago? Why do you still wear them and keep them clean today? Why do you keep recommending them to your friends?
You spread the word on products and services you love and use. You share what you’re enthusiastic about. You love what excites you. Many businesses simply share what they’re in love with.
Don’t you see?!
Turns out your niche market........
is YOU!
Define who you are, and make something or find something that you love and sell that to people! Chances are that you know people that are very similar to you, so you are YOUR OWN referral! If you focus on something that you’re in love with, you don’t have to feign enthusiasm or a big smile to promote it. It’s all more honest!
Enjoy your day, people. And fuck up quickly and often. Success happens when you learn and persist.
