Trump and his Spawn keep knocking Hunter Biden for not knowing anything about the company he was on the board of. But there are plenty of board members of various companies that do not have direct experience. It’s not like energy executives are personally refining the oil themselves. But the Trumps keep repeating this “no experience” talking point ad nauseam.
Clearly they all believe it is vital for people to have experience and knowledge when given a position of importance.

Rick thinks the world is ~6000 years old and knows about as much about energy as someone born 6000 years ago. This quote should sum things up…

That third agency he was trying to think of?
That’s right… the Department of Energy.
The agency he wanted to cut is the one he is currently in charge of.
Trump appointed Betsy DeVos as Secretary of Education.
She went to private schools all her life. She married a rich multi-level marketer and then used his money to become a primary investor in things like…
A discredited blood-testing company called Thanos Theranos.
They claimed to be able to test blood using a much smaller sample than normal. However, an inspection of one of their facilities found they did not “comply with certificate requirements and performance standards” and caused “immediate jeopardy to patient health and safety.” The company went bankrupt and several of its leaders were charged with fraud.
A broadway play that lasted 3 weeks.
She produced a run of “Scandalous: The Life and Trials of Aimee Semple McPherson.” A musical based on the life of the famous evangelist and featuring a book and lyrics written by Kathie Lee Gifford. Variety reviewed Scandalous and determined it had too many steps. Literal steps.

And then Betsy decided to delve into the world of junk science with “Neurocore.”

So we’ve got pyramid schemes, two fraudulent companies, and a short-lived Broadway play.
Sure, let’s put her in charge of our children’s education!

Trump appointed Ben Carson, a neurosurgeon, as the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Carson has a very narrow intelligence. He is a skilled surgeon but outside of that field he is… well… kind of a loon. He believes that ancient pyramids were actually used for storing grain. He thinks the Big Bang is disproved by the second law of thermodynamics. And he is also a Young Earth Creationist that believes Darwin’s work was literally inspired by the Devil.
As for his experience with housing?
And then there is Kathy Kraninger.
Trump chose her to be the Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. She is in charge of making sure companies do not defraud the American people. In the past, this was an agency that reclaimed billions of dollars for consumers.
Now, she does have a teaching certificate for high school social studies. That means she at least has basic knowledge of how our government works. She probably knows how a bill becomes a law. Perhaps she can name the three branches of government. Sadly, that makes her the most qualified of this bunch.
But as the amazing Rep. Katie Porter once again demonstrates, she doesn’t really know much about the job she was given.
If you’re curious, Rep. Porter later gave a lesson on how to do this math on Twitter. But I’m not sure Kathy watched it.

Maybe Hunter Biden was unqualified to work in the energy biz. But I don’t think him being a board member of a company did much to negatively affect the lives of the American or Ukrainian people.
But these 4 unqualified stooges were given extremely important jobs. Rick Perry is in charge of nuclear power plant regulation. Betsy DeVos is in charge of the education of the next generation of Americans. Ben Carson is responsible for helping some of the most helpless among us find shelter. And Kathy Kraniger is supposed to be the watchdog that makes companies think twice before fleecing the vulnerable of what little they have.
Hell, after looking into these 4, I think Hunter Biden would do a better job at all of their positions.
Though, at this point, I would’ve settled for a koala over any of them.
