well, okay, he knew that Han was still standing there, when he'd turned to Leia to speak about him- but that wasn't the point. Leia, amused, covers her mouth and tries to hide the laughter as Luke turns to his friend, cheeks turning a slight shade of pink. okay, yeah, he logically knew that Han was still standing right there, but he didn't expect him to stick around and listen. usually, when Luke talks to his sister, Han has the decency to walk away and give them some privacy. but for whatever reason, the smuggler was still standing right there.
it's a bit awkward, if he's to be honest, as he lets out a quiet laugh, cheeks warm with color. "well, i wasn't talking to you, was i?" he snipped back with no actual bite to it. sometimes you can absolutely tell Luke and Leia are twins- other times not so much, but right now . . . right now, they're like a mirror as they both giggle.
"i'll leave you to deal with that," Leia says, and abruptly abandons Luke- to his absolute horror.
"wait- i . . . and she's gone." well, shoot. now he has to deal with this, doesn't he ? well . . . he grins up at Han and then looks at his hand. "well, would you look at the time ? i've gotta go." or not. maybe he's a coward after all.

the slight absurdity of the situation wasnโt lost on han. ย ย ย of all the places in the galaxy for the rebel princess and her jedi brother to hunker down and start whisperingโabout a topic that, from the tone, sounded suspiciously like gossip beyond hanโs immediate interestโhe wouldnโt have guessed theyโd choose a spot less than five feet from where he stood, absorbed in the holo-projection of arbraโs topography. ย apparently, whatever it was couldnโt wait for a more discreet setting.

admittedly, he hadnโt noticed the two at first, too preoccupied with the blueprint display and running mental diagnostics on how the โfalcon might serve the new republicโs ever-expanding headquarters. ย it wasnโt until he glimpsed wedgeโs smirk out of the corner of his eye, half-hidden behind a steaming mug of kaf, that han thought to look over his shoulder. ย ย and sure enough, there they were, the twins, deep in giggly conversation, like some scene straight out of a holositcomโฆ
