MAYBELLE HOSPITAL, OCTOBER 3RD [11:45PM]
"Great! Thanks Y/N, see you during our call tomorrow!" Your friend and fellow colleague, Chaewon, yells out to you before clocking out.
You just started your residency, getting closer to becoming an officially licensed neurologist. You're almost there. You just need to finish off this last year in residency and hopefully get into your practice with your friends, and you hope to not see Han Dongmin ever again.
You're packing up your bag—you grab your phone and shut the door behind you.
"Hey there shorty," Speak of the devil.
"Ugh, what do you want Dongmin?"
"Nuh uh, I go by Doctor Han now," he says with that signature smirk of his. Oh how you hate it so much.
"We're about to clock out, and I've known you for years. I'm gonna call you whatever the fuck I want."
"Woah okay princess—you look a little tense. Want some methocarbamol to sooth those muscles of yours?
"Don't call me that! And to answer your question—no, I do NOT need methocarbamol because I am NOT tense!"
Aww—does princess need to go to CBT? I think it'll really help your cognitive—" Dongmin gets cut off when you throw a box of tissues at him. "Hey! What the fuck was that for!?"
"Well at least getting a tissue box thrown at you got you to shut your trap," you say in a monotone, completely unfazed.
"You didn't have to throw shit at me though…"
"Oh but I did. Looks like someone else has to take CBT alongside me~"
“No I don't—" Dongmin pauses for a bit. "You're lucky you're cute…" he mutters under his breath.
"I'm sorry?"
"Nothing—I was just wishing hell upon you," He responds quickly with a smug. You've known Dongmin since you were 14—and every time you two would talk, it would just end up with bickering. That's what your relationship with him is like. Just bickering. Nothing more.
"Well fuck you too I guess. My shift's done and I'm outta here," you respond back. "Hopefully I don't need to see you at all during tomorrow's call."
"I wouldn't want to see you and your bird nest tomorrow anyways…"
"HAN DONGMIN I'M GONNA KICK YOUR ASS!" you yell out to him, extremely infuriated by his annoying figure.
You've known that Dongmin has always been annoying—but you're starting to think that the older he gets, the more annoying he is—like he was mature at birth and slowly growing even more immature. That's how you would describe his nature.
"Ugh! I'm leaving!" and you storm out of the hospital, leaving Dongmin all alone. He smiles at himself before leaving as well.
"Bye princess! Make sure to take the correct dose of methocarbamol tonight!" He waves at you, smirking yet again.
"UGH! DONGMIN! LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE!" You scream at him.
When you walk outside of the facility, you see Sungho standing outside—possibly waiting for a ride. Sungho is your friend whom you have also met during freshmen year—and has been best friends with Dongmin since they were in diapers. In this situation, he's very much in between the two of you. He turns his head and notices you—then he waves. "Hey Y/N, are you good?" Sungho asks with some concern in his face.
You look up at Sungho—a little confused expression sits on your face. "Sungho! I'm fine—there's nothing to worry about!"
Sungho raises his eyebrows at you. "Are you sure?" He asks, not buying the "nothing-to-worry-about" act. "Is it because of Dongmin?"
"Bingo."
Sungho lets out a sigh, then begins talking again. "What did he do this time?"
"He's just a douchebag! He's so fucking annoying and obnoxious! His face is just soooo punchable—do you agree with me on that? I just wanna punch that fuckass smirk of his. Not to mention the fact that he keeps calling me princess, when I asked him to stop!"
"Princess? Really?"
"Yes, really."
"You sure he doesn't have a crush on you or something?"
You look at your friend, unimpressed by his question. "Sungho, crushes are a middle school and high school thing—hell even elementary school. If he had a crush on me, that just shows he's even more immature than I thought."
"Well suit yourself then. I've known him since we were babies—I can tell when he likes someone."
"Yeah yeah. Whatever," you roll your eyes at Sungho's statement.
"Okay well, I'm gonna get going. My girlfriend should be here any minute now. Bye Y/N!"
"Bye Sungho," you wave at him as a car pulls up—most likely his girlfriend's car. When Sungho gets inside the car, leaving you alone in a chilly autumn night—you sigh. You ask yourself questions that could have an obvious answer or no answer at all. After another sigh, you find your car in the staff parking lot and leave the hospital property to go home.
Now at home and lying on your bed, you start thinking—about him. Dongmin. Does he actually like you? Or is Sungho just bluffing? Due to your strong loathing for Dongmin, you obviously think the latter.
MAYBELLE HOSPITAL, OCTOBER 4TH [7:30AM]
The next day you enter the hospital and waves to two nurses—who are also your friends—Sunoo and Lily. "Good morning Nurse Kim and Morrow! Nice weather we're having, am I right?"
"Morning Doctor L/N! Yes it's such a lovely morning today!" Lily says back.
"Damn right it is," Sunoo exclaims. "I hope this patient call goes smoothly—I'm still getting nightmares from that last one we had…"
"Oh don't remind me," you say unamused. "That one family did NOT have their kids under control. It was a fucking nightmare fuel."
"I just hope today won't as bad as last time," Lily prays while crossing her fingers.
"It's fine guys, we can survive this. Just remember to chug lots of coffee," you exclaim cheerfully to change the mood. It's not like Dongmin's here to ruin it!
"If we chug lots of coffee, we'll be pissing in the bathroom all day and being just as hyper as those kids you were just talking about."
"Oh great…my day's already ruined," you mutter—preparing yourself for the real nightmare, him.
"Hey princess~ did ya miss me?" He chimes in with that cocky, annoying voice of his. Oh you want to punch him in front of everyone right this moment. You take a deep breath and turn around to face him.
"What do you want?" You say, clearly annoyed of his presence.
"Just wanted to check up on you during this fine morning!"
"Dongmin, there's fucking freezing rain outside. What do you mean fine morning."
"Geez, who took a shit in your cereal?" a little cackle escaped from his mouth while you're visibly fuming—with invisible smoke coming out of your ears.
"Stop talking to me."
"Why princess? You don't want these guys to know about us dating? Wow, I'm sad now. I thought you loved me…" Dongmin dramatically expresses.
"Wait, were you two in a secret relationship?" Sunoo gasps with one of his hands covering his mouth.
"No we're not, don't listen to him!" you retaliate back.
"Aw—you two look so cute together!" Lily chimes in. The day just started and you're already on your last straw, so you do what's best and decide to snap back.
"SHUT UP DONGMIN! YOU ACT LIKE A FUCKING CHILD! DO YOUR PARENTS HATE YOU THAT MUCH THAT YOU HAVE TO ACT SO FUCKING IMMATURE TOWARDS US!? ESPECIALLY ME!?"
"WELL DAMN GIRL ARE YOU ALWAYS THIS SHORT TEMPERED!? IT WAS JUST A SMALL FUCKING JOKE! WHY DO YOU TAKE EVERYTHING SO SERIOUSLY!"
"You two seriously need to take a chill pill," Chaewon interferes. "You guys act like an old married couple who's only one argument away from signing those divorce papers," She lets out a small giggle.
"Shut up Chaewon!" you and Taesan both yell at the same time—that was quite the defensive move.
"Sorry…"
Right as you calm down, you here sirens. An ambulance arrived. It arrived with two paramedics rolling in a stretcher in panic as Sungho tells people to move out of the way and looks straight at you.
"We have a patient here with a brain haemorrhage! Quick, we need vitals stat!" Sungho yells aloud as you, Dongmin, and the other three spring into action. Sungho then comes up to you. "23 year old male named Lee Sanghyeok. Sudden haemorrhage stroke. His brother called 911 and we were able to get him to arrive before anything drastic happened. Please help him."
You nodded and got straight to work. "You all heard Dr. Park! We need vitals now! We need to get him stabilized ASAP!"
Once Sanghyeok is rolled into one of the neurology rooms, you look at Sungho—who's currently in distress. He always is when patients arrive in ambulances, but this time it's even worse.
"Dr. Park. We've got everything under control. Are you okay?" You ask, worried about him.
"Sanghyeok is my friend, his brother called me while the ambulance was on its way. Please help him, he doesn't deserve this."
You pat his back. "Sungho, we'll make sure Sanghyeok is in good condition. Would you like to take a breather?"
He looks back at you and shakes his head. "I want to help save him, but I might just grab a drink of water before I go into the room."
"That's perfectly fine," You reassure him. "Let me know if you need anything, okay?" He nods while you go back into the room.
MAYBELLE HOSPITAL NEUROLOGY DEPARTMENT, OCTOBER 4TH [8:23AM]
"Did anybody get his vitals?" You ask right as you enter the room where the stretcher with Sanghyeok was placed.
"His blood pressure is 120/80 mmHg, his heart rate is 72 beats per minute, and his respiratory rate is 16 breaths per minute," Chaewon tells you while clearly in a rush to get Sanghyeok in stable condition.
“Great, make sure to get him under anesthesia as we might have to perform surgery on him. Dr. Han, can you get the anesthesia?”
“On it,” no bickering needed when someone’s life is on the line.
“Great. Dr Park, gather the tools.
“Yes Dr. L/N.”
“Excellent. Dr. Kim, get an oxygen mask. Nurses, check on Sanghyeok.
“On the way Doc,” Chaewon, Lily and Sunoo yell out at the same time—each doing their assigned jobs accordingly.
You go up to Sungho and place a hand on his back. “It’s going to be okay Sungho, we’ll make sure Sanghyeok is okay and save him.”
“I trust you Y/N, you’re an amazing friend,” he smiles at you.
“Thanks, you too,” you smile back.
After a bit of reassurance, Dongmin goes up to you and Sungho. “Sanghyeok seems to be stable now. We’re about to put him under the surgery. Everything seems to be a-okay,” once Dongmin says that, Sungho lets out a sigh of relief.
“Thank you so much Dongmin and Y/N. I don’t know what I’d do without you guys,” Sungho lunges toward you and Dongmin to hug you both.
“Sungho…I can’t breathe…” you try to say aloud.
“Yeah me neither, especially with this person here,” Dongmin chimes in.
“EXCUSE ME!? THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN!?”
“You heard me. You’re insufferable.”
“More like YOU are the insufferable one. Like I said yesterday Dongmin, you are so immature. Does your mom even love you?”
“My mom does love me, thank you very much.”
“Mhm… does she now…”
“And here I thought the bickering stopped…” Sungho interrupts, clearly not impressed at all.
“Shut up Sungho!”
“Oh…”
“I told you guys, you sound like a married couple on its final straw until a divorce,” Chaewon walks in and starts talking. “Oh, Sanghyeok’s surgery just began,” we all nod at her last statement.
“Come on Chae, you know that’s not true,”Dongmin whines. “Y/N just acts like a damsel in distress!”
“Do I now… maybe we should ask the damsel in distress herself,” Chaewon suggests, nudging you with her shoulder.
Nothing…
“Uh, Y/N?”
Still nothing…
Dongmin waves his hand in front of you to get your attention. “Hello? Earth to Y/N?”
“Oh, sorry. I think I zoned out,” you blurb out, surprised with the sudden movement.
“Are you okay Y/N?” Sungho asks. “You look tired.
“Me? I’m fine!”
“Are you sure? Your eye bags look even more visible than before! Even though they already were quite visible,” Chaewon snickers.
“Hey!” you yell out. “My eye bags aren’t THAT bad.”
“Oh they’re pretty bad alright,” Dongmin says with that stupid smug on his face—that’s how you would describe the facial expression he has right now.
“What a meanie…”
While you two continued bickering, Sunoo and Lily were wheeling in a patient into the room you, Dongmin, Chaewon and Sungho were in—then the patient spoke out.
“Can you two stop bickering? Even patients are sick of this bullshit married couple act,” it was Sanghyeok.
All of you looked at each other, and you couldn’t help but laugh. All of you looked at each other, and you couldn’t help but laugh. “Looks like the surgery went well.”
After the surgery, everyone leaves the room—leaving you and Dongmin behind. The silence isn’t too awkward. It’s comfortable. Comfortable enough that you feel safe. Around him. You both give each other eye contact—not longer than a few seconds, and smile. Not a huge grin with all 32 teeth showing, but a small genuine smile. Dongmin then opens his mouth to say something.
“So…how’ve you been?” You look up at Dongmin, slightly shocked that he hasn’t insulted you or done anything to piss you off.
“I-I’ve been okay. Could’ve been better. You?”
“I’m also okay. Thanks,” silence fills the room once more as it looks like the two of you have ran out of things to say—even though you two barely said anything to each other. The comfortable silence turns into awkward tension. This is probably the first time in years since you and Dongmin have had a proper conversation without insulting each other. Dongmin looks at you again. “You look like you’ve barely slept recently. Are you okay?”
“Well… what’s it to you…?”
“Hey, just because I piss you off a lot doesn’t mean I don’t have any human decency!” He’s got a point.
“Okay well, yeah. I’ve never been more burnt out in my life. My legs even feel wobbly sometimes, like I’m gonna collapse at any second,” you tell Dongmin, finally letting out how you really feel. Not even a second later do you feel another body touching yours. He’s hugging you. Dongmin is hugging you. You feel your heart skip a beat, and your face becoming red like a tomato. The hug felt amazing—like you didn’t want to let go, which you didn’t. It was so comforting. He was comforting. Everything was going perfectly until you hear two voices coming from outside.
“See Lily! I knew they were dating! Now pay up!” It was Sunoo and Lily. You and Dongmin get startled after hearing voices just to realize there’s a window. They were looking through the window seeing you and Dongmin snuggling and being comfy together.
“WE’RE NOT DATING—“
“Oh come on Sunoo! What if they’re not dating and are just enemies with benefits…” Lily chimes in.
“No we’re not!” Dongmin yells out, and now this time Sunoo and Lily get startled. You look back at Dongmin and reality hits you. You let go of his grasp instantly and start stammering.
“I-I’m gonna go…to the break room! Yeah! The break room! Uh—thanks for comforting me..!”
“O-oh uh… you’re welco—“ you slam the door before Dongmin got to finish his sentence. He finds himself pondering in his thoughts. About his feelings. His feelings for you. His rosy cheeks become more vibrant and he thinks—that wasn’t so bad now was it…?
MAYBELLE HOSPITAL BREAK ROOM, OCTOBER 4TH [12:57PM]
You’re inside the break room, absolutely exhausted. You hate calls—most if not all doctors do. Sometimes you’d rather become a dentist since they make real good money and don’t do calls. But, you’re already almost done residency, and university and medical school combined is about 10 years—so if you switched career paths now, that’s 10 years of hard work and pure torture down the drain. You won’t give up now, not even if there’s a 6’0 Leo, who has an amazing physique and is sexy as fuck, who’s name is Han Dongmin in your way…seriously!
“Hey girl! Oh my, you look like shit. Are you okay?” you look up and see Chaewon entering the room.
“Geez, thanks for reminding me Chae.”
“Hey I didn't mean it like that…” Chaewon sits down beside you. “You just look tired, miserable even. Have you been getting enough sleep lately?”
“I dunno, what does it look like…”
“You really need to take it easy Y/N.”
“HOW CAN I WHEN THERE’S PATIENTS COMING IN 24/7!?”
“…”
“Sorry…”
“No… I’m sorry…” Chaewon murmurs as awkward tension arrived in the room. “I’ll… I’ll leave you alone for a bit…” she gets up, opens the door and closes it behind her—leaving you alone once again.
You’re alone… again. You slap your palm to your face knowing you’ve messed up—and before you even think about starting to cry, someone else enters the room.
“Oh well would you look at that, it’s Miss Eye Bags! Did you prepare some at home remedies to help? Or are they so bad you can’t even fix them?”
“Dongmin, not now—”
“Aww what’s wrong? Are the crocodile tears gonna spill out?”
“Dongmin—”
“Ah ah ah… I’m not done yet. Didn’t you learn not to interrupt others while they’re talking?”
“DONGMIN! I’VE HAD ENOUGH!” you cry out, tears finally spilling from your eyes. “I’ve had it with your insufferable comments about me. You’re a fucking asshole, y’know that!?”
“E-excuse me…?”
“You heard me. Have you even realized what your words to me, ever since we were kids?" They hurt Dongmin! They really fucking do! And the older we got, it hurt even more! What have I ever done to you..?”
“…”
“Exactly, nothing. Unless you can come up with the dumbest excuse known to man as to why you treat me like this, then you know I did nothing to you.”
“You did do something to me though,” Dongmin murmured.
“Come again?”
“…”
“So now you don’t wanna talk huh…” you stand up and face him. “You’re a fucking loser Dongmin. You’re a loser, a douchebag, an asshole, you’re any negative thing there is to ever exist! Get lost Dongmin,” you storm out of the break room—tears still falling down and you slam the door shut.
Dongmin is now all alone in the break room—reflecting on his past actions towards you. While doing so, he hears a knock on the door.
“Hey, can I come in?” It’s Sungho.
“Uh… y-yeah…”
Sungho opens the door and sees Dongmin, pondering in his thoughts. “Hey bud, you good?”
Dongmin looks up from the table and looks at Sungho. “Yeah no, I’m doing great!”
“…”
“No shit, I’m doing terrible.”
“Well, would you like to talk about it?”
“After the call?”
Sungho nods. “Of course, whatever you need. Is this about Y/N?”
“Hyung… I fucked up. Big time.”
“You just realized?” Dongmin looks at Sungho in a ‘are-you-serious-right-now?’ type face. “I’m kidding I’m kidding! Hey… why don’t we go to my place—and you can tell me everything about it. Okay?”
Dongmin nods. “Okay…”
Sungho puts his hands together, making a singular clap. “Great! Now stay strong bud, I’ll be here for you,” he rests his hand on Dongmin’s shoulder—giving him some reassurance.
While Dongmin and Sungho are having their moment, you text Chaewon while wiping your tears, asking her to sit with you at a café—hoping she says yes after what happened earlier.
y: hey chae, sorry about earlier. want me to tell you everything?
c: yes please…
y: meet me at this café at 4pm today
c: ok see you y/n, please do take care of yourself
y: of course
You turn off your phone, praying internally that everything will go well—that you’ll be able to tell your best friend everything. About the burnout. About Dongmin. About everything.
MARIPOSA CAFÉ AND RESTAURANT, AFTER CALL, OCTOBER 4TH [4:00PM]
Chaewon is at the café you told her to meet you at—but now she’s the one waiting for you.
“Hey Chae! Sorry I kept you waiting!”
“Hey Y/N,” Chaewon stands up to hug you. “It’s all good! I didn’t wait for that long.”
“Okay I’ll tell you about everything, and I’m sorry for snapping at you.”
“Hey Y/N, it’s okay—trust me. So, will you tell me as to why you’ve been out of it?”
“I mean yes…but also for some advice,” Chaewon raises her eyebrows for a second, a little shocked by what you have said.
“About…”
“Dongmin,” Chaewon’s eyes widen at his name being said aloud. Confused, she asks you to elaborate.
“Dongmin…?”
“Yeah. The eye bags and stuff? Probably just burnout—but well, I think I like Dongmin?” Chaewon’s eyes widen and spits out her coffee.
“HELLO? HUH—SINCE WHEN…”
“For a while…”
“But you clearly hate him.”
“I’ve always had a thing for him, at least I think so? I’ve only realized it now. But I hate how he always acts like this…”
Chaewon scoots closer to you. “You wanna know what I think?”
“Hm?”
“I think the annoying, mean, insufferable douchebag Han Dongmin is in love with our pure Y/N,” she says with a slight smirk. You look at her like she’s crazy. Obviously she is because what do you mean this guy who always annoys and insults you has the capability of falling in love—oh. Looks like you’ve realized something.
“You might be right,” Chaewon looks at you and smiles.
“You figured it out?”
“Yes I’m in love with him, and I might have a feeling whether he likes me back or not,” you shoot up from your seat and grab your bag—Chaewon gets startled at your sudden movement.
“Hey! Where are you going?”
“To confess to Dongmin! Thanks for the help Chaewon!” and off you go. Chaewon looks at you in disbelief, thinking what she’s going to do with you in the future.
SUNGHO’S HOUSE, AFTER CALL, OCTOBER 4TH [4:00PM]
While Sungho is sitting on his bed, Dongmin is pacing back and forth around the room—thinking about what he can do about his feelings for you.
“So, I like Y/N.”
“Fork found in kitchen,” Sungho murmurs.
“Excuse me?”
“Hm?” Sungho might be acting confused on the outside but oh boy is he super happy and excited on the inside. He’s been both your friend and Dongmin’s—for you, since freshman year of highschool—and for Dongmin, basically since the two were in diapers. He’s seen and heard you two with your nonstop bickering for many years now, and now he’s happy because he just came to the conclusion that both of his friends are in love with each other.
“Nevermind. Anyways, I need advice,” Dongmin continues. “What do you think I should do to—well… confess my feelings for her.”
Sungho looks at Dongmin, then takes a bite of an apple. “Y’know what I think?” He starts talking with his mouth full, learn some manners dude. “I think you should just tell her everything you feel. Come clean, you get me?”
“Yeah… easy. I can do that! Totally!”
“You sure?” Dongmin gives Sungho a blank stare.
“Are you doubting me Park Sungho…?” He asks with his arms crossed and one eyebrow raised.
“Me? Doubting THE Han Dongmin? I have no idea what you are talking about…” Sungho fails at his attempt to gaslight Dongmin, who isn’t stupid he’s literally a doctor—a neurologist to be precise. Dongmin gives Sungho a dirty look. “What’s with that look…?”
Dongmin’s dirty look transforms into a smile. “Thanks for the advice hyung! I’m gonna confess to Y/N now! See ya!” and off he goes.
“Hey! Where do you think you are going!” Sungho yells out to Dongmin, no response—because he’s already out the door. “No wonder Y/N thinks you’re immature. BECAUSE YOU ARE! YOU’RE A FUCKING KID HAN DONGMIN! I HOPE SHE REJECTS AND HUMILIATES YOU!” Surely he doesn't really wish that… right? Of course he doesn’t, he’s just mad that Dongmin left in a hurry.
KOZ HIGH SCHOOL: WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
You were excited for high school, a place where new beginnings happen. You met two amazing new friends, Park Sungho and Han Dongmin. But, something didn't seem right. Dongmin started avoiding you—and started competing with you! You don't know why he started acting this way. Was it because you were talking to Sungho a lot more and he got jealous? No, that can't be the case… right?
"Sungho, do you know why Dongmin's been avoiding me lately?" you ask Sungho, confused as to why one of your best friends just stopped talking to you out of nowhere—and you demand answers.
"I'm sorry Y/N… I tried asking him and he won't say anything."
Devistated, you thank Sungho for trying and go for a walk until you see him. Him and a few others huddled together near a corner of the courtyard.
"Oh look who we have here~" one of the taller guys in the group started talking. "Who's this girl, do any of you know her?" Right when he finished talking, you made eye contact with him. Dongmin. That taller guy from earlier notices it. "Dongmin, y'know her?"
Dongmin looks at you, then the group of boys. "Me? Pffft. Please, I bet she's one of those girls who play the role of secret admirer. She could be any of our secret admirers." The entire group started laughing at you, alongside him. You felt ashamed, humiliated, you felt like you felt beneath them. You run away away with tears forming in your eyes. While his goons are laughing at you, Dongmin watches you run away, feeling guilty. He only did that to fit in, he never meant it. He would never mean to hurt you. Little did he know that would be the only thing he does in the next coming years.
You find Sungho and crash into him, hugging him tightly as tears fall down your eyes like crazy. Sungho doesn't say anything, he just lets you find comfort in him—having an idea what could've possibly made you cry so much. Dongmin.
KOZ UNIVERSITY: RISING TENSION (AND HIGH CORTISOL SPIKES)
Ah—university, where you think hell ended in high school, but oh boy were you wrong. Every morning when you wake up, you see hell—and who decided to make it worse for you? Dongmin. Ever since that whole act in high school, he started annoying you and insulting you. Not like a bully, at least you don't think—but he really does like to piss you off, especially when it comes to competing to be the top in every class.
You two always make sure to beat each other in your academics—and with both of you wanting to become neurologists, you argue and bicker about who would become the better one.
Sungho is still there, friends with both of you—and whenever he tries to get all three of you to hang out, well… lets just say things don't end brightly.
One day, the two of you were partnered up for a lab in biology on dissecting human cadavers—not fun indeed. It smelled terrible and Dongmin was messing with the whole lab—even your biology professor threatened to make you both fail this lab if he Dongmin didn't get his shit together. He didn't so you both had a terrible mark, thanks a lot Han Dongmin.
Of course Sungho has to hear the two of you talking shit on each other, and boy was he tired. Guess you three hanging out together is not a good idea in the slightest.
One day you see Dongmin walking around campus—holding hands with a girl. It wasn't just regular hand holding, their fingers were intertwined with each other. Your heart felt heavy, you didn't know why. Did you like him? No silly! You two argue almost every minute of the day! There's no way you would like him. Besides, he clearly has a girlfriend now.
You might've thought too soon—a few months later, you see that same girl kissing another guy. Way different from Dongmin. A whole different vibe. You thought of telling Dongmin, so you did—multiple times at that matter, but you kept receiving the same reaction.
"What do you mean cheating on me!? She would never!"
"You're just jealous…"
"Grow up for once Y/N! We're not in high school anymore!"
He regretted those words because he ended up seeing this random girl he was dating kissing that same guy in front of him. He was mad, remorseful—but he blamed you.
"This is your fault, you jinxed it! All because of your jealousy!" He just leaves you there, tears welling up in your eyes. You thought to yourself that you would never let Dongmin make you stoop below him ever.
KOZ MEDICAL SCHOOL: HOW DEEP IS HELL?
If you thought university was the bottom of depths of hell, you sure as hell are wrong because medical school might be even worse—and who are you with? Sungho! And Dongmin… This time, you won't let Dongmin get to you. Whenever he picked on you, you always found a way to retaliate. Whenever he tried to make you feel below him, you knew when to put him in this place. It wasn't until Sungho finally says something.
"Guys, what's up with you two just bickering all the time? Just get along for once!" Sungho snaps.
"I didn't even do anything it was her!" Sungho looks at you while you look at both of them with a confused expression.
"Excuse me!? You're the one who's always picking on me and telling me to grow up when you should be the one growing up! You're so fucking immature Dongmin! I don't know what has gotten into you since high school, but you've changed—not in a good way," Both Sungho and Dongmin look at you shockingly, surprised at your sudden outburst—and what does Dongmin do? He walks away in outrage because you finally managed to snap at him.
"Woah Y/N! How'd you manage to do that!?" Sungho asks enthusiastically while still being surprised. You shrug.
"I dunno, just finally got tired of being pissed off by him everyday," you reply. "And I'm not a kid anymore so I should be able to stand up for myself by now.
Even some days, Dongmin seems to get jealous when you talk to other guys, even Sungho. Crazy to believe that he would be jealous of the two of you when he's seen you two talk to each other alone for years by now. Not to mention that Sungho recently got a girlfriend, so why would Dongmin be jealous when you two would talk? Surely it can't mean anything major… right?
MAYBELLE HOSPITAL BREAK ROOM, OCTOBER 5TH [10:41AM]
You place your stuff on a counter in the break room when you hear the door open. You turn around and see Dongmin—silence fills the room. Not like the uncomfortable silence from before, but awkward tension. It reminded you of that moment in high school, where Dongmin humiliated you in front of these so called friends of his. You start shaking—not too much, just slightly. Dongmin notices, then begins opening his mouth to speak. "Are you okay?"
You look up at him. "Y-yeah! I feel fine!" The awkward tension returns. It feels like a family outing where you meet your entire extended family for the first time—never having the courage to say anything because you never knew about their existence until an hour prior to the outing. You both then start talking at the same time.
"I have to tell you something!" Shocked at the sudden synchronization, you both giggle—then calm yourselves down.
"You can go first!" you tell him.
"No—I insist, you go first," he tries to fight back.
"Okay how about we just say it at the same time. That good?" you suggest.
"Okay sure, on the count of 3."
1… 2… 3…
"I LOVE YOU!" Both of your eyes widen, realizing you've both just confessed to each other at the same time. Talk about a miracle.
"Wait wait wait," Dongmin interrupts. "You like me???" You nod, smiling softly. You've never seen him blush this much. It makes him look very cute! Then Dongmin clears his throat. "Why me? After the way I treated you…why me?" he wonders. He makes a valid point—why him? Why choose the person who basically made your life for the past years terrible?"
You move closer to him and take his hands, wrapping yours around his. "I honestly have no idea…" you reply back. "I've only realized my feelings recently, I know you're a good guy."
Dongmin looks down at his feet—then starts talking again. "Y'know back in high school, with those guys—I only said those things to you to fit in, I'd never hurt you. After that, I felt like I needed to keep up the act. I'm sorry and I love—"
You cut him off with a peck on the lips. His lips were cold, but they felt addicting. It was the only thing you were craving at that moment. You wanted more—but he pulled away for a second. You pouted when he let go, but he was only closing the door and locking it, and also lowering the blinds. Then he looks at you, smirks, and his lips then dive into yours. The kiss is passionate. It was heaven. You felt like you were on cloud nine. It was ecstasy. All of that stopped again when Dongmin's phone rings. It was Sungho.
Dongmin reluctantly picked up the phone and screamed, "Hey bro! Leave me and my girlfriend alone!" you both let out a snicker as Sungho is audibly confused.
"Hello? What girlfriend!? Did you finally confess to Y/N!? Hey! Answer me—" Dongmin hangs up the phone.
"Man, people these days. They won't let us finally spend some time together," he smirks. God, you never realized how hot he was. You sure are a lucky woman. Actually—no, it should be the other way around. HE is the lucky man. You both kiss again—more desperate, more hungry. His arms are wrapping around your waist while yours are around his neck. That doesn't last long when Dongmin's phone vibrates. It's Sungho again. This time he texted Dongmin.
s: well sorry to interrupt… whatever you two are doing, but can you at least get flowers for sanghyeok. i'm busy running errands with my girlfriend.
You both laugh and leave the break room to go to the gift shop to buy flowers—then you go into the room Sanghyeok was admitted to. You both buy him some simple, pretty roses that you're sure Sanghyeok will love. Once you enter the room, Sanghyeok sure is surprised to see the two of you, previously bickering like elementary school kids to having your fingers intertwined together.
"Huh… you two aren't bickering anymore. What a miracle," Sanghyeok observes aloud. You and Dongmin look at each other and smile. Then, you give the roses to Sanghyeok. "Roses? For me? Oh thank you! I should be the one repaying you guys for saving my life!"
"It's the least we could do," Dongmin says with a soft smile. Oh he's so beautiful. You rest your head on Dongmin's shoulder as he squeezes your hand tighter—until you hear a disturbance from inside the room.
"ACHOO! Oh sorry, I forgot that I'm allergic to pollen… also aren't you guys doctors? Shouldn't you know that you can't bring real flowers in the facility?" Sanghyeok laughs slightly.
"Well with that we can blame the gift shop lady," you reply with a chuckle. Poor lady, she doesn't even know what's happening right now. You, Dongmin, and Sanghyeok start laughing. Oh boy, you and Dongmin have lots of explaining to do for Sungho and Chaewon…
Riwoo: It's really muggy outside, isn't it?
Sungho: If I look outside the window and there are mugs on the lawn, I will murder you.
Riwoo: *sips coffee from a bowl*
Ch 18: First date and last. 😒 This hoe eat like a bear!! Written part underneath! wc:1.1k
…
At 6:30 pm sharp, Jaehyun and Yunjin met up in the dorm building you and Taesan both lived in. The two of them were dressed immaculately–even though they were more than likely gonna end up spending the night in Jaehyun’s car, or maybe a trashy club if they got bored.
“You should knock on her door, I have a key to Taesan’s, so I can just walk in. Text me when you’re heading out, we can’t bump into each other, got it?” Jaehyun spoke in a hushed tone with a dopey grin. He was strangely excited over this.
Yunjin was exactly the same, eagerly nodding her head as she replied. “Got it. And you made the reservation under both of our names?”
“Yeah, duh. I’m not stupid.”
“Debatable.” Yunjin raised her eyebrows.
“You know you love it.” With one last flirty wink, Jaehyun slid his spare key into Taesan’s lock, twisting the doorknob and stepping inside with an exaggerated ‘HELLOOOO!’.
He was an idiot, but Yunjin kinda did love it…
She knocked three times, and within twenty seconds, the door swung open.
“How hot do I look tonight?” You stood in the opening of the door, practically beaming at your own appearance. Something weird was going on, Aphrodite was definitely on your side tonight–good hair day, good makeup day, AND a gorgeous outfit? This was a seriously rare occurrence.
Yunjin let out a low whistle, looking at you like a hungry lioness. “Damnnnn girl… he’s gonna drop dead.”
“He?”
She floundered for a second, clearing her throat and continuing. “Um, there's like, a really hot, new waiter there. He’ll love you! Let’s go! No time to waste!”
Yunjin was always like this, so without a hint of suspicion you grabbed your phone and followed her out.
…
When Jaehyun bursted into Taesan’s dorm, he almost went blind.
“OW-! Jaehyun!!” Taesan’s shoulders leaped at the sound of the door combined with Jaehyun’s screeching, nearly poking his eye out with his eyeliner pencil. “Jesus Christ, don't you know how to knock?”
Jaehyun chortled, flopping down onto Taesan’s couch. “Sorry, forgot you were still pissed at me. And why are you doing makeup in the living room?”
Taesan glanced over from where he was seated–on the floor, at the coffee table with a little stand up mirror. He shrugged his shoulders, mumbling, “Better lighting…”
He wiped away the unwanted smudges of eyeliner, packing the pencil away into the small pouch on the table, and stood up.
“Okay. Are we leaving now or what?”
Jaehyun discreetly checked his phone.
*Yunjin: Just left! We’ll be there soon! 6:36pm
It was too soon to leave, Jaehyun had to make sure they wouldn't arrive at the same time…
He winced. “...can you do my eyeliner?”
The one thing he vowed to never do. And he didn’t refuse a lot of things.
“For real? Dude, I’ve been telling you for ages, you’d look ten times better.”
Taesan grabbed the eyeliner, plopping down on the sofa beside Jaehyun. “Look up, I need to get in your waterline.”
This felt like sleep paralysis to Jaehyun…
…
You arrived at the restaurant with Yunjin just three minutes early, and before she even sat down, she practically ran off to the bathroom, muttering something about the long car ride and too much Redbull.
Jaehyun and Taesan arrived four minutes after that, sauntering over to the hostess’ stand.
“Do you have a reservation?”
“Yes, it should be under Myung Jaehyun.”
The hostess smirked, Jaehyun had explained the situation over the phone whilst making the reservation earlier (chronic oversharer).
“Right this way.”
They both followed the hostess, Jaehyun already straying away before they got to the table.
“Yo dude, I gotta use the bathroom, I’ll be quick.” He scurried off like a gremlin, but that was his usual vibe anyways.
Taesan walked up to the table the hostess led him to–but there was someone already sitting there. A girl. Had they been double booked?
He spoke up quietly, “Um, excuse me? I think you’re at my table.”
You turned around, immediately recognising the voice behind you.
Ohhhh no… Taesan’s eyes widened, he raised his hands like some kind of surrender as he struggled for words.
Suddenly, both your and his phones buzzed at the same time. Weird. You both looked down.
Taesan had a notification from Jaehyun.
*Myung GAE: Sit down. This is for u bro. Thank me later ;)
Your notification came from Yunjin.
*Besfren: Surprise!!! Don’t kill me pls!!! :3
The two of you just looked at each other, Taesan’s face turning impossibly red as he murmured, “I had no idea about this…”
He turned his phone around, showing Jaehyun’s text.
“I get it if you don't wanna see me, I can just–”
You cut him off with a slight smile, “No, it's fine. Sit down.”
Somewhere, in a hidden corner of the restaurant, Jaehyun and Yunjin were celebrating as if they’d just witnessed their favourite k-drama ship finally get together.
…
The date went surprisingly well for a setup.
You talked for ages. Taesan told you about his music, you told him about your dancing, and you figured out that both of you were obsessed with horror movies, but could never watch them alone.
It was shocking how well you actually hit it off, and he stared at you the whole time like he was being hypnotised.
Desperate. You kinda liked that. But that's a topic for a different day.
Other than that, he had a weird sense of humour. His actual jokes were god awful, but he was unintentionally funny when he wasn’t trying. You threatened him a good few times–he wouldn’t stop teasing–and that encouraged him further. It was satisfying to see him shut up so fast when you dished it back out to him.
…
The night ended with the two of you back at the dorms (and with Jaehyun and Yunjin absolutely hammered in the worst club they could find).
Taesan glanced at you, then at the dorm room doors, then back at you.
“So…”
“So…?”
He cleared his throat. God, he was awkward. “I had a lot of fun with you tonight. And… you really look amazing.”
“Yeah, this was great, and thank you.” You replied with a soft smile, stepping closer in the dim light of the hallway.
The atmosphere was electric between you. His breath stuttered for a moment, and then…
He bowed.
Like, full on, ninety degree bow.
“See you soon!” Taesan chirped before fumbling his door open and rushing into his dorm.
You stood in slight shock for a second, then let out a hopeless laugh before entering your own dorm. It was kinda sick that you found that endearing.

Alternatively... boynextdoor as their Venus signs.
Park Sungho... virgo venus.
contains: established relationship, fluff, acts of service, mention of sickness, husband material Sungho... wc: 383.
Sungho was naturally neat and tidy. He likes minimalism, clean spaces and calmness. His love was no different. Although it was fairly quiet, you were spoiled in a way that didn't need huge romantic gestures or dramatic declarations. He loved by showing up. By listening to your voice as you talk for hours, entranced by your hidden intelligence. By practicality and diluting your delusions with his logical thinking.
You had no responsibilities when Sungho was around, the servant nature of his sign showed itself with no shame. There was never a task left undone. He never outright volunteered, but coincidentally, the household chores you constantly complained about always ended up done without you even lifting a finger.
You walked through the door to your shared apartment, taking off your shoes at the door, as per his request. The faint smell of cleaning sprays wafted from the kitchen, where you walked in to see your boyfriend standing there with a rag tossed over his shoulder and a thin layer of sweat on his forehead, "Sungho, you really didn't have to..." You shook your head, a fond smile tugging at the corners of your mouth.
"It's nothing, it needed done anyways, and you know I clean better." He crossed over to you, his own smile beginning to grow.
You didn't ask him to do this. You never had to. He remembered every little thing you've ever told him--and that includes your whining over how hard it is to clean an oven.
Sungho's love was stable, reliable, and unique. Full of thought and careful organisation. Even though he seemed nit-picky and critical over the stupidest things, all he wanted was for you to live to your fullest potential.
"You shouldn't use your phone before bed, love. It's bad for your eyes." He set down his own book and shifted closer to you under the blankets.
He worried about you constantly, especially your health, which makes your sick days even more adorable, because he is straight away spawning at your side of the bed with a cup of hot ginger tea and his grandmothers broth recipe.
"Eat up, it's good for you."
He was your perfect little perfectionist, and your life would be a hell of a lot more taxing if he wasn't in it.
Lee Sanghyuk... scorpio venus.
contains: confession, one sided pining-to-relationship, jealousy, possessive riwoo, drama queen riwoo, he's also a little bit creepy at the beginning but trust its cause he's shy... wc: 525.
Sanghyuk barely spoke to you before you got together; he barely even breathed in your presence. But his eyes watched you, betraying the deep infatuation that was starting to rise to the surface.
You had always known each other through mutual friends, and you knew just how funny he could be when he was around the right people--you just assumed you weren't one of them. In reality, he was harbouring a dark secret. A buried, aching hunger that had been devouring him whole since the first day he met you.
It wasn't hard to notice that everywhere you went, he was always close by, eyes flickering over to where you were as if he was surveilling you. Most people would find it creepy, you found it intriguing.
Sanghyuk, however, found it all consuming. His mind had been plagued of constant replay reels of your beautiful smile, of the way your hair shone when the sunlight hit it, of you. 'Down bad' was a gross understatement for the way he felt about you.
One day, you had scheduled to hangout with a few of your friends, and he tagged along, of course. Anytime he was around, there was something mysterious and unspoken in the air surrounding you. It was addicting.
When your friends had gone their separate ways, leaving you and Sanghyuk waiting at the bus stop, you couldn't help yourself anymore, your voice steady and lowered just a little.
"Sanghyuk. Do you like me?"
He manages to keep a natural expression, but the tension in his shoulders gives his true thoughts away, "Why are you asking...?"
"Because every time I see you, you're staring. Every time we're around each other, it feels like I'm just waiting for something to happen."
He'd avoided this for so long, this was the most hidden part of him. But the outcome might just be worth the risk...
"Well... not exactly..." His voice is quiet and a tiny hint shaky, confusion flooding through you before he begins again, "...I don't just like you. I'm obsessed with you. And it's eating me alive."
He was dramatic, and you loved every bit of it. He'd almost choke at the mere thought of you even glancing at another guy. He'd test you, and sulk if you didn't answer correctly.
"Who was that guy texting you last night?" He asks with a completely straight face, even though he knows damn well that there was no guys texting you at all.
You let out a playful scoff, sarcasm dripping from your voice as you reply, "Oh, just one of my other five boyfriends..."
Your joke backfired, because he slept with his back turned to you the whole night after that as you giggled to yourself, muffled in the sheets.
Sanghyuk was a lot to deal with; easily jealous, possessive, kept your relationship a secret, but it was more than worth it. He was also the most passionate person you'd ever seen, and his love wasn't just attraction, it was a soul-merging tie. Loving him feels like loving a wild cat that just wants to devour you (in the softest, most delicately loving way).
Myung Jaehyun... capricorn venus.
contains: established relationship, fluff, workaholic mj, a couple tiny moments where I nerded out on astrology talk... wc: 540.
It was a rare occurrence for anyone to see Jaehyun being serious. He was the bubbliest, friendliest, most outgoing person in the universe, but when it comes to your relationship, a whole other side of him emerges to the surface. Capricorn rules over the bones and the skeletal system, and that's exactly what he was to you; the support frames that held you up, the steadiness that kept you together.
He loved you with every bone in his body. His sign won't just let him love you in a casual way, no, his natural drive makes him work extra hard to make you feel how loved you are, how much he appreciates you. He rarely said it out loud, and preferred to show it through actions, but when he did say it, it was thought out and sincere.
"Love you with every bone in my body..." he mumbles quietly, head resting on your chest as the two of you lounge on the couch, "Even those stupid little tiny ones inside your ears or something..."
"You mean ossicles, Jae...?'
"Yeah, yeah... popsicles or whatever..." He trails off. You let out a breathy laugh, and as soon as your fingers begin to card through his hair, he's already fast asleep.
Jaehyun's love was classic, straight out of an old fashioned film. He held some traditional values, he believed in protecting you, and supporting you, and being your rock. Your family adored him, your friends were jealous that you'd managed to find 'one of the good ones'. You knew just how lucky you were, because he never failed to prove it to you.
It wasn't always smooth sailing, though. He often got caught up in work and had the most hectic schedule, but he never let you down or failed to make it up to you; like the time he bought you a whole new outfit, a new plushie, and took you to your favourite restaurant just because his schedule happened to be busier that week.
Without a doubt, his love languages were mostly acts of service, gifts, and quality time. He took love very seriously, and you never one felt unappreciated by him. He always made sure you knew your worth, whether that was by spending a ridiculous amount of hard earned money on gifts for you "just because", or spending every waking moment attached to your side.
He was drowning in work all day, but he still dragged himself away from his desk and out into the living room, sinking down beside you on the couch with his laptop on his knee. Even if the two of you were just sitting next to each other, in silence while he worked, you made his head clearer with just the sound of your breathing.
Jaehyun was in it for the long run. This wasn't just a fling. He had goals and aspirations for you both--he wanted a future with you, and trust that he had a plan for your future wedding by the second date.
He was warm and comforting without being overwhelming, and it took some time for him to show you what it truly felt like to be loved by him, but once he did, you could never turn back.
Han Taesan... cancer venus.
contains: friends to lovers, yearner Taesan, more astrology nerd talk, dramatic confession, slight crying, very cheesy ending (can you all tell I'm obsessed with down bad Taesan...) wc: 939. (guess my bias hard edition)
Cancer was represented by the crab, and that describes Taesan perfectly. A hard, protective outer shell; he puts on a front to guard the true softness his heart bears. He's sensitive, deep down, but relies on his claws and crabbiness to avoid getting hurt.
Ruled by the moon, his cancer venus made the time you spent with him feel like evening walks on the beach, the refreshing breeze and quiet adoration from the boy beside you setting off fireworks in your heart.
He couldn't tell you that you were all he thought about. He couldn't send you the playlist he made that was full of songs that reminded him of you. He couldn't tell you he loved you, because he was convinced you saw him as only a friend.
But the truth was, the line between 'friends' and something more had been long erased by the two of you.
With his venus sign being the 'mother sign' of the zodiacs, he was nurturing and caring--the absolute opposite of how he'd act around anyone else. He cared more than he ever showed, and it was impossible not to notice.
He helped you decorate your room when you two became roommates, he cooked food for you, he bought blankets and cushions for his couch so you'd be comfy (and because he was in dire need of redecorating before you moved in), he'd jump at any excuse to take care of you--learning how to braid your hair, taking off your makeup on the nights you came home from work tired and fell asleep on the couch...
Even with all his efforts, he never expected anything from you in return, but that doesn't mean he didn't want it. He'd spend endless nights writing the words he couldn't say into songs he didn't show anyone and poems that only made sense to him. Underneath his mask, he wanted to be loved, and he wanted it badly; nothing had to change between the two of you, but he hated the way he couldn't stop worrying that he was being overbearing and clingy.
For a relatively quiet person, his thoughts were loud and messy, especially when it came to you. Eventually, he decided to try sort that out.
He walked up to your bedroom door with his heart in his throat as his knuckles grazed the wood in two soft knocks.
"Yeah, come in!" you yelled from your bed, closing your laptop and sitting up. It was instantly clear that there was something wrong with him. "...you okay?"
His footsteps barely made a sound as he walked over to your bed, his posture stiff and a worrisome expression on his face, "Yeah, I just-..." he trails off, swallowing hard, "I need to tell you something."
"Tell me what?"
His jaw tensed as he chewed on his bottom lip, thinking over what he was finally about to confess. "I really like you. Like, not just as a friend. Its-... I know this is probably the last thing you want to hear from me, and I really, really don't want this to ruin what we already have... and now Im kind of realising that I should've just kept this in like I have been, but its too late to stop now so..." His gaze drops down to his own lap, eyes squeezing shut as if he was bracing himself for something as he continues. "I'm really sorry, I tried to make it go away, but it's just-... theres always this feeling in my chest, gnawing at me to tell you all of this. I understand if you don't wanna be friends anymore, or whatever, just please don't cut me off completely, I still wanna-"
"Taesan," You have to cut him off, he's rambling with the shakiest, quietest voice you'd ever heard from him, and when he looks up at you, you can see the tiny glint of tears in his eyes.
He didn't ever cry. He hated the thought of making someone else upset because of his own emotions, so he never expressed them in overly dramatic ways, but you always noticed all the little hints.
His bottom lip is caught between his teeth again as he waits for you to say something else, clearly not trusting his own vocal cords right now.
"I'm really glad you said something, Taesan. I felt something shift between us a while ago, but I know you don't really like talking about this stuff so I didn't mention it," you moved closer to him, "I like you too, but I guess I didn't want things to change either. How about we just... don't change or label anything yet, but also stop hiding?"
His whole body visibly relaxed, a single tear rolling down his cheek as he finally moved even closer, melting into you as his arms wrapped around you, his face tucked away in the crook of your neck, "Yeah, I'd like that."
The passing weeks after that were exciting and buzzing with the most addictive type of tension. Both of you had been acting like giddy teenagers, blushing and subtly flirting without the fear of making the other person uncomfortable.
You and Taesan had walked up to the rooftop of your apartment building, looking out over the city before laying down on an old blanket you brought up, the full moon's light making everything glow.
"The moon looks so beautiful tonight," you gaze wistfully up at the sky, the bright orb glaring black down at you.
He turns his head, eyes trailing across the side of your face like he was looking at a work of art, "Yeah, beautiful..."
Kim Leehan... virgo venus.
contains: implied friends to lovers, mentions of Leehan's fish obsession (my fav thing ever), acts of service, fluff, bf!Leehan. wc: 367.
When you first met Leehan, you thought you had no chance. He was friendly, and he got along with everyone, but romantically, he was incredibly picky.
You met him through a mutual friend and witnessed his friends suggesting a girl for him, only for him to immediately shut it down on multiple occasions, always claiming that she was 'too wild', 'not smart enough', it seemed like he was searching for someone absolutely perfect.
That's why a few months into your friendship, he confessed to you, you were so shocked--and obviously ecstatic.
Since then, you noticed your life falling into a comfortable, orderly routine. Organised and simple, but never boring. Leehan was anything but boring to you. He was endlessly knowledgable on marine life, and he made sure that by the end of each conversation, you were too.
He'd lay down with his head in your lap as you twirled your fingers through his long hair, telling you all the facts and random information he knew; not only about fish, about everything. People say that knowledge is power, and if that was true, then Leehan is close to a godly level of it.
You always listened and paid attention, and he gave that right back. Even if you were talking about the most uninteresting topic in the world, you always notice how he watched, nodding along with his whole brain tuned in. He was highly attentive, and it paid off, because he remembered every little detail.
His attention to detail had him remembering all the little things about you. He'd buy you a plushie of a character you once mentioned was your favourite, if you seemed weighed down by something, he was already finding a way to help. He helped you organise your makeup, dumping it out of the messy, crusty old pouch you'd always used since you complained about not being able to find anything and sorted it into neat trays in your drawer.
Leehan was helpful, the venus sign of service, but he never held it over your head or expected anything in return, he just did it to watch how you smile and thank him with those sparkly eyes, it was his absolute favourite sight.
Kim Woonhak... saggitarius venus.
contains: situationship to lovers, travelling, bitchy French lady, commitment issues and angst (briefly), some astrology nerd terminology wc: 649.
"We should go to Tokyo together, isn't it so cool there?"
You let out a soft huff, looking over at Woonhak. "That's like, the twentieth place you've said we should go."
"Imagine how free we'd feel, just travelling the world, eating good food, never staying in one place for longer than a week... Doesn't that sound like heaven to you?" He replied with a bright smile and even brighter eyes.
The Archer of the zodiacs, Sagittarius, is constantly striving for freedom, spontaneity, and new experiences; when that's translated into a romantic placement, how could his biggest dream be anything but seeing the whole world with his partner?
Woonhak was always looking up travel destinations, some of them huge cities, some rural, cultural places. He wanted to explore it all, learn about how differently things work in each country, and due to Sagittarius being a mutable sign--he could adapt to almost everything.
One thing he couldn't adapt to was the feeling of being 'tied down'.
The two of you had been in this weird limbo between more than friends but not quite a relationship for longer than you could remember. So you decided to bring it up.
You nervously fidgeted with your thumbs for a second before looking across the restaurant table at him. It looked like a date, it felt like a date, but he wasn't your boyfriend or anything, and that left you confused.
"Hey, Woonhak... What are we? I've just been thinking, this 'situationship' thing has been going on for a while now."
He stopped slurping at his noodles, painting a smirk on his face, "What do you want us to be?"
It was unexpected, how bluntly you replied with, "I want us to be together. For real."
That wasn't a crazy suggestion, right? Why did his face drop at the word 'together'?
"Y/n, y'know, like-... what we have already is great, is there really a need to put all these... labels and restrictions on it? What's the difference?"
"Exactly, Woonhak. What's the difference? Do you, like, not wanna be committed or something?" Your fork clinked on the side of your plate as you dropped it.
It's not that he's afraid of commitment, he just... likes to be free. He doesn't wanna end up trapped. Who's to say he won't end up uninterested after a while? He couldn't break up with you over that and leave you heartbroken, but he couldn't give up his freedom either.
"You know I like you, but you know how like, restless I can get. You've seen my past relationships, they all barely last a month, and I don't wanna end up losing this over it." How serious he is while he says this is honestly a little jarring, he usually made jokes and laughed his way out of serious conversations, it seemed like he really cared about this...
You shouldn't laugh. He's always the one turning heart-to-heart's into stand up comedy, but this time you couldn't stop the breathy laugh escaping. "If you really think I'd end up boring you or whatever, then why have you been putting in the effort with me for ages now?"
That got the gears turning in his simple head. He knew he liked you, he knew he wanted to have something with you, he just didn't realise how different it felt to any other girl he'd been in a relationship with.
You two left the restaurant that night, officially boyfriend and girlfriend (finally).
And as it turns out, he didn't end up feeling trapped, or any less free than before; especially not on your first vacation together. You both ended up getting scolded by a prissy French woman for laughing too loud in her patisserie.
Soft, quiet 'nights in' were amazing, but you were drawn to Woonhak's sense of adventure, and more so how he wanted to bring you along on all his experiences.

I wanted to try making some BND edits/graphics/pics (idk what to call them..) on my laptop since I usually use my iPad, but I thought I'd post them cuz I actually like how they turned out!!

This is kind of a random post but imma tag y'all anyways lol
Saturday morning, Taesan had band practice. He made sure to arrange an earlier time with the guys so that practice wouldn't clash with the date he’s been going insane over for the past few days.
He sat on a stool, tuning his guitar, the others doing the same to their own instruments as they all waited for the last member to arrive–Jaehyun.
Right as Sungho is about to complain about how late he is, Jaehyun bursts through the door, a wide grin on his face.
“Hey ladies, guess who scored us a place in the open mic night at Synth City tonight? I’ll tell ya, I did!” His smirk is sickening, because he knows how hard they've been trying to get into that lineup for ages now.
Everyone looks around in shock before Woonhak jumps up to cheer and pat him on the back.
No one really knows why Woonhak is there, he’s not part of the band, he just kinda hangs around their practices like it’s some kind of daycare centre.
The band is ecstatic, obviously, getting the opportunity to play at one of the best bars for live music in the city is pretty sweet.
Taesan’s eyebrows crinkle into a frown as he looks over at Jaehyun.
“Jaehyun. I can’t be there tonight. You knew I had plans.” He barks at the older boy with a hint of worry in his eyes.
Jaehyun scoffs, “Can’t you rearrange? This is a big opportunity for the band, and we get one chance, dude. You have plenty of other chances to take some girl on a date.”
“She’s not just some girl, hyung-”
Woonhak cuts him off with a little huff. “You’re so corny, it's insane.
“Shut up, seriously. I can’t just ask to reschedule like- hours before we’re supposed to go out! What if she’s getting ready now and then she gets disappointed?”
“Taesan, it's 10:30 am, you’re supposed to be going out at 7:30. She is not getting ready.” Sungho cuts in, not even looking up from the tuning pegs on his bass.
With a tired sigh, Jaehyun’s tone softens. “C’mon, man, we can’t play without a guitarist. Just tell her you’re really sorry but you’ll make it up to her and take her out another day.”
He’s seriously conflicted. He’s so passionate about the band, about music in general, but he’s also down bad and doesn’t want to risk disappointing you, or making you think he’s an asshole who would wait until the last minute to blow off a date.
After a good five minutes of thinking with his head in his hands, Taesan pulls out his phone and types out a message.
