i haven't made an oc in a veerrry long time so i got really excited while doing this!! this is basically just a short summary of the introduction i wrote on the ref sheet but this is my hazbin oc Jackie who has committed a LOT of theft and is down in the fiery rings because of that.

since most of the sinner demons share designs with an animal i picked a raccoon for jackie because a) they're thieves and b) they DRESS like thieves too. jackie has the little bandit mask rings around her eyes and i thought it was a really fun detail that raccoon tails are striped like those old school burglar costumes! so i think jackie herself would kind of play into the raccoon/burglar imagery because she knows what she's in hell for and wears it quite unabashedly (so to speak). and she's a 70s girl, so i think she wouldve kept wearing the stuff that was fashionable when she was alive.

her in a red coat pained me greatly because red is unfortunately not one of my favourite colours but it does make up like 90% of the hellaverse colour palette 😭 but as a compromise the coat is more of a disguise for sneaking around and she'll only wear it when she needs to blend into the very red crowd.

i roughly wrote out most of her background but it would be too long to post so i thought i might include a few paragraphs here that give context to her upbringing, as of rn i don't really have any plans to illustrate her backstory for the most part.

also context for the context: Jackie's father was a corrupt auctioneer who pocketed large sums of money and bribes. he spent this money on his family, so they were quite wealthy when Jackie was a kid.

^^ not explicitly included in here but Jackie eventually grew an appetite for beautiful things and expensive jewellery herself. she thought it might make her happier.

i should also note that while Jackie might see herself as more of a Robin Hood type of character, her trying to mostly steal from the rich is not for the purpose of giving to others but only to benefit herself. it's a code that loosely relieves her own moral qualms but doesn't actually mean she acts with morals, which is why she ends up in hell.

also not included but Jackie works as at the sales counter of a high-end boutique when she's in her 20s. she's good at sales! persuasive and easygoing. and she dies when she's 28, in 1979.

to add to this already terrifyingly long post i did do the oc relationships chart as well (template by @vexinghearts)! these might be subject to change later but this is what her interactions will look like for now (she does start off by disliking my fav characters 😞😞 but they all will get along eventually)

im working on some small drawings where she is interacting with some of the hotel crew which i am having a lot of fun with!! and will hopefully share soon once i have some time
