"Best of luck" The ending of this episode looks like this to me
I really like how much Peri don't care about Dev. Like, honestly, it's his first job, and he's absolutely tired from day one, and he doesn't have any connection with the Dev at this stage of the show. He tries to do his job sometimes, but it doesn't work out very well, they fight all the time and all that. I like that Peri shows such a bad godfather in places. I love peri and have always loved him, since childhood, but how terribly he does his job sometimes - I think it's very interesting. He litteraly get his job as godparent back THAT WAY. "Out of luck" showed once again that thing. Maybe i am wrong but it seems like a good start for his arc of being so.. Uh. He DOES know da rules and know how to execute wisches, but he just cant get along with his godkid and it looks like he dont try anymore
Thank you for such a long and interesting comment.
I like how the show realistically portrays first job, especially a difficult one as taking care of child. Peri is a shitty godparent, I don't think he realizes yet that this job is not only about making a wishes, but also building a good relationship with his godchild, and take care of them. I really hope that Cosmo and Wanda, or even Hazel, or maybe things that will happen to Dev in the future, will help him realize his mistakes. But for some reason (I hope this won't happen in the show) it seems to me that in the end Peri won't learn anything and everyone will just blame Dev.
But i don't think that Peri doesn't give a damn about Dev completely. When Irep shows up, Peri says that he "jealously spy on Dev". I guess it means he was pissed off that they both couldn't get along, but Irep was able to bond with Dev faster, so Peri decided to just throw his rival out, and at the end of the episode he didn't even try to talk to Dev. I JUST WANT THEM BOTH TO BE HAPPY, PLEASE JUST TALK TO EACH OTHER.
