The photo is in black and white because I felt it more artistic haha but the watercolor is too. I love to paint in black and white because I spent many years drawing just with pencils, color is still something new to me! Although the background of the picture is white I would love to put gold on my paint, some or all of gold , I don’t wantto take off the “leadership” of the horse but I want to do something cool with the background! 

First, Rory, let’s recognize where the gender wage gap is derived. It’s created by adding up all the wages from all women and all the wages of all men and comparing them side by side. We find that women average 77 cents to the dollar of men. Now this would be a serious issue… if women worked the same jobs as men and the same hours and made the same life choices, but the facts are that they don’t. If it were true that employers could get away with paying women less, would it not also be true that employers would want to hire as many women as possible to reduce labor costs? That’s what evil businesses do right? Cut costs? Why don’t they hire all women?

The reasons why women average less than man vary but all come down to individual choices, not gender. Men tend to major in higher paying fields in college like business, engineering and technology. Women tend to choose lower paying fields like social work, healthcare and history (my unfortunate major). They’re not forced to choose these and could have chosen a higher paying field.

Another reason that Women, overall are paid less is because often times they take breaks in their careers to have children or be homemakers. Also something that is their choice. Women who have not had children actually make more than men do.

Study after study has found that the wage gap is a statistical myth due to women’s choices, not discrimination.

This is something I’ve been meaning to do for months, ever since I found out about Unfuck Your Habitat. But I’ve been really depressed recently (or rather, my whole life) and it is SO HARD to get started on a mess that penetrates so deeply. Every time I tried to get started, I would get overwhelmed. I don’t know HOW to clean.

But my friend kept saying, “If there’s anything I can do just let me know” and I just thought, there’s nothing. There’s nothing that would make me feel better.

Then the other day I said, “I thought of something you can do.”

So we spent TWO DAYS unfucking my room. Left pictures are before, right pictures are after. We did a really deep clean, too, under the bed is even clean. It’s amazing……
