Iâm writing his on behalf of two of my friends, Katie and Brendon, who have fallen on hard times recently. Theyâre a young couple who have had a very hard life and are working to put themselves in a healthier situation.Â
I have never met a sweeter, more loving couple in my entire life. I have an immense respect for people who work with kids - especially kids who are struggling in school because of our unfair system that often discriminates against those who donât see the world in the same way as everyone else. I have never found a more caring and passionate person than Katie.
Katie is an absolute sweetheart. She loves her kids more than anyone I have ever met - kids that arenât even her own. She has so much love to give and whenever I hear about how she had a wonderful day with school and how much she loved spending time with her kids it warms my heart from the outside in, as if someone had shoved an electric blanket into my chest cavity and set it to low. When I meet people like her, they remind me that there is so much good in the world even when we are constantly reminded of all of the bad things that happen.
Brendon is her rock. Soft-spoken, sweet, and a wonderful listener, itâs no wonder how Katie is capable of the good things she does every day with someone like him supporting her. As a side note, his cooking is delicious. He clearly shows his love through stuffing you with as much delicious food as he possibly can.
One day, theyâre going to make wonderful parents. Kind, open-minded, generous, and thoughtful. They need a little bit of help right now. I asked them to write up their story for all of you. If you can send even a dollar, their Paypal is [email protected].
Our names are Kate and Brendon. Weâre both 26 years old. I work for the Palm Beach County School District working with second graders with autism and other disabilities. I love the kids and I love my job.
In Julyf 2017 I was hospitalized for a 13 cm cyst on my right ovary. WE lost our room we were renting and quickly had to find a new place. A month later, Brendonâs father died and as a result of his depression, he lost his job.
In addition, about a month ago we suffered a miscarriage that caused me to lose faith in myself, both as a woman, and as a wife.
Weâre renting a room for $700 a month but I donât make enough for us to live on. Brandon is about to gain employment but unfortunately weâve come up short by $200. If we canât come up with rent, Brendon will have to leave his new job as well as me, and move back to Fort Myers. This man is my whole world. I canât lose him. Please help.
Even if you canât donate, a reblog would mean the world to them. I want to show them that they arenât alone.
