the way people saw age gaps between the dsmp creators will never not be funny to me. like the conflict of jack and niki “trying to kill a child” when they were only 1-2 years older than him. they could’ve been in high school together. they were trying to kill their classmate at best

i remember when the penis smp first went trending. the person who made the original textpost haaaaated it i think they blocked me as well. imagine creating the peak of humanity and being mad about it

i think they thought we were making fun of them, because thats what their intention was with the post. it was purely malicious but we loved it sooo much we made it as real as it can go. i've seen some stunning penisunavalible fanarts in my time

and this was *before* goncharov. no one had seen anything like this. we just "yes and"-ed a whole world with characters and plotlines and ships. A mutual and I had a bit going about a hole in the bedrock that has a cult around it, accidently predicting the boatem hole in hermitcraft. i listened to a podcast episode with a staff member who had to scramble to explain what this is to her colleauges so they'd let it trend despite it including the word "penis." I miss 2021 guys. whole year sucked but the magic it had will never be replicated.

i was going to make a kinda joke post about how the theme of every dsmp plot was the horror of being isolated due to neurodivergence/mental illness and the fear of being alone/not having control but then i remembered that actually Is the plot. thats exactly what it was about

I think dsmp and how it got to portray feeling alone while being nd and in crisis is really interesting because there’s so many characters and not many at any point have No allies, but in many ways I don’t think there’s a single character I wouldn’t describe as like profoundly lonely. Like they have people but all of them were always so closed off and laser focused on surviving, on their own goals, that they often failed to stay out of their own heads and were self sabotaging often til their own deaths. Alone together. Or whatever. Who tf even likes dsmp …
